Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

All the snow in our area that got some is supposed to be melted in the next day or so.

It will melt fast but it is so gross to see right now. The trees around us are already starting to droop because the snow is so wet and heavy so I'm really hoping our power lines don't snap. Although I am glad we are getting it this week and not next, next week I need to be headed to an airport! :)

Excellent news. Congrats.
I know you’ll do well.

Enjoy your next few months off. You’re going to be busy.
Awesome! Congratulations!
Congratulations and best of luck to you!

Thank you all. The wait to find out was nerve racking. They narrowed down the applicants to 64 people that they interviewed, and of that 64 they were only accepting 17. I was really worried I wasn’t going to get in. I’m so relieved.

I think you forgot that 4/12 is also Episode 9 title and trailer drop day!
Noon Central Time. Supposedly.

Trying to stay awake...I worked until 11:10 last night, and when I went home, someone had blown up the ATM building next to the grocery stores by our house and there were police helicopters circling above our house half the night looking for suspects. I had to get up early to go into work again this morning....I hate when I have an evening shift one night and a morning the next day, but with the noise of the copters, it was even worse. And now they evacuated the stores because they think there might be explosive material in the area, so I can't get groceries. And there was supposed to be a grand re-opening of the remodeled Aldi, but the explosion broke the windows of the Aldi, and the entire area has been taped off all day while they looked for explosive material and cleaned up the rubble, so now we don't know when they will open. Is it nap time?

Wow that's scary.

It happens periodically, though this one was a lot larger of an explosion than most you hear about, but no one was injured, so it's all good.
We’re much more civilized in Canada.
We just hook them up to a pickup truck and rip them out of the walls. (Sadly, not kidding.)

Well, there was that era when mailboxes were randomly going boom in Quebec. But, that probably isn't considered part of Canada. Just curious, how many Canadians wish they had separated?

Lately? I dare say ... most.

The governing Liberals appear to have fallen on their sword to supposedly protect 9400 jobs in La Belle Province, while letting more than 100,000 jobs die in Alberta.

Of course, the difference might be that the 9400 jobs (which were never really going anywhere) are in the PM’s own riding, whereas Alberta is staunch Conservative territory so there are no votes to be lost there anyway.

(Bet you didn’t know I could be this cynical, eh?)

Hey, whatever works. But I have lived here for 16 and a half years now, and I can count on one hand the number of pickup trucks I've seen here. In a country where you pay a tax to own a car, and that tax is calculated based on the weight of the vehicle, and in which gas/petrol/benzine costs between $7-10 per gallon, small vehicles are your friend.

Author Beverly Cleary turned 103 today.

I loved Ramona and Beezus and Henry Huggins when I was a kid. I made sure to read all of the books to my boys too.

They liked Ramona, but I feel she fell short of Junie B. Jones for them.
I sometimes read The Magic Tree House to my kids right before dismissal.
