Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

A friend of mine lived right around the corner from the first school I taught at. I used to keep a bag in my trunk with a change of clothes and toiletries in case of bad weather (I lived 45 minutes away in the hills where we got a lot more snow than the school's town did). It came in handy one year when we had a severe blizzard and the entire state was shut down for a week.

I have some coworkers who would probably let me stay at their places, but if it got that bad I'd rather pay to stay at the hotel in town. But I only have to drive on a major highway, so it's a road that gets quite a bit of attention by the counties.

The worst part of that storm was at one of the junior highs, which sits on the top of a hill. Busses couldn't get to the kids, so they had to spend the night there and most of the next day with a few frazzled teachers, very little food, and no communication services.
I could handle some students overnight, but others I can hardly handle one school day with.

Tomorrow afternoon through the night we are supposed to get approximately 1-3 inches of snow, possibly some freezing rain mixed in. That's a good time to be driving home in the dark after a long night of conferences.
how is the weather is it bad yet?

Went to see one of my favorite waterfalls today, and how the past week of rain had impacted it.

This is Bald River Falls in Tellico Plains, TN. While the water had gone down from the weekend levels, it was still very full.

Ladies and gentlemen... The topside of water.

Have been to this waterfall plenty of times before, but never when it's this full.

I love waterfalls, no matter where they are located. I think they're one of the most beautiful things in nature.

Here's hoping our seemingly never ending rain doesn't become snow and/or flooding for all of you lovely people.
