Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Ski is back. Fingertip intact for now.

It’s coming off though. How much, will be determined in a couple of weeks. He will have to have a skin graft. He’s very lean, so there’s not a lot of slack skin anywhere.

“I’m gonna have butt skin on my fingertip, Ma”.
I laughed so hard, I cried.

I will not defrost meat in the microwave. Doesn’t matter that I follow the directions to the T, I still get fully cooked edges and frozen chunks in the middle.

Ideally I buy meat and consume it within 24 hours.

Ideally I don’t have 7 1/2 lbs of ground beef all at once.
OK, fine... If you know what you are going to eat 24 hours in advance couldn't you just take it out of the freezer and let it thaw in the fridge? But, seriously, I don't care aboat it I just find it fun to bust your chops once in awhile, eh. What I do is use the automatic defrost and whatever time it says I only keep it in for half that time and then just defrost the rest in the pan or pot either by itself first or in whatever sauce I am using it with. I will admit that at the time of preparing a meal your way is faster, but, you do have to factor in the time it took you to cook it, don't you think?
I have over 3 lbs. in the Freezer as we speak and one that I picked up yesterday to make sloppy joes with in the fridge and I live alone.
And even at my size I cannot consume the amount of food that Mike does in one sitting. If I did I wouldn't be able to get out the door.

So, we had so much ice from yesterday's storm, that it was creating all kinds of problems. Around 7 PM last night, our landlord's plow guy came over to plow in front of the house and do the driveways on both sides (this is a 2-family townhouse). The fact that the guy shows up at night is fairly useless in itself, as hubs and I do may 70% of the shoveling during the day.

Anyway, plow guy (who has a small truck with a blade--nothing like the behemoth trucks that the city sends out in storms) had a lot of jobs yesterday. So his truck had been cranking away since 4 AM. Because of the icing on top of the snow, it put a lot of strain on the equipment. Just as he started the other side's driveway, his hydraulics croaked! Couldn't lift the blade. He ended up getting towed out of there! :jawdrop: Never saw that one before. ;)

I love Sloppy Joes. Haven't had those in a while. What time is dinner? :hungry:

Interesting, I wonder if he will grow hair on his finger tips. Also, does that mean that he will be able to wipe his butt with his butt?
We’re having spaghetti. With meat sauce. 😂
Well that takes care of some of it.

Cold weather car battery question please.....
My 3 1/2 year old car still has its original battery. I just started it and it came to life reluctantly on this below average temperature day. Now I'm letting it run in my driveway because I have this hazy memory that letting the engine run/idle will recharge or add life to the battery.
Am I correct or am I wasting time and gasoline?

Ski says it 100% charges the battery.
Leave it running quite a while. (Apparently 4 hrs for a completely dead battery.)

I'm pretty sure my slumlord office landlord turned the HVAC off for the holiday figuring people aren't working. I cannot feel my toes and I am wearing knee high Ugg boots. Along with jeans, a tank top, t shirt, wool blend sweater and a North Face fuzzy zip up. I can barely move my arms. I should not be freezing cold indoors at my desk.
Are you sure he turned it off and that it's not just broken? Are you the only one working? I forgot it was a holiday in the US and tried to do some bank business....whoops.
