Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Came inside a little while ago after lying down in the driveway (clearest swath of sky) taking pics. I'll spare you from all 65 pics. Not perfect, but not awful either. And boy am I chilly! :coldfeet:

Great pics!

I love that you also lie in the driveway. It’s my signature move. Not today mind you. It’s currently -4F

Mike was supposed to buy 2 lbs of hamburger. Instead, he bought 2 packages each weighing 1.7 kg (approx 3.75 lbs) EACH.

I cooked up one package yesterday and made a very meaty beef stroganoff Hamburger Helper using 3 boxes.

I’m going to cook up and freeze the remaining 3.75 lbs and Mike can either make chilli, or I’ll make spaghetti sauce next week.

Moral of the story ... 1.7 kg is nowhere near 2 lbs.
Why are you cooking it first... just make sure it is in about one pound packages, put them in freezer bags* and freeze it. It will cook up later like it was fresh.
You do have freezer bags in Cananada. They look a little like your milk containers only they have a zipper type top. ;)

I'm pretty sure my slumlord office landlord turned the HVAC off for the holiday figuring people aren't working. I cannot feel my toes and I am wearing knee high Ugg boots. Along with jeans, a tank top, t shirt, wool blend sweater and a North Face fuzzy zip up. I can barely move my arms. I should not be freezing cold indoors at my desk.

Once it’s cooked, I can just add it to any simmering sauce that I have going, without having to thaw it first. I’m lazy, remember?

Thaw cycle on the Microwave not working? I guess you don't have that 5 or so minutes that you can squeeze into your crowded calendar, eh! :p:confused:
I will not defrost meat in the microwave. Doesn’t matter that I follow the directions to the T, I still get fully cooked edges and frozen chunks in the middle.

Ideally I buy meat and consume it within 24 hours.

Ideally I don’t have 7 1/2 lbs of ground beef all at once.
