Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

@NYwdwfan , I hope the bad weather predictions pass by your area. I heard on the news tonight about Pennsylvania, New York and up to Connecticut with some tornado watches (at least one hit in PA).
Storms are rolling in now but shouldn’t be more than a bad thunderstorm. Thanks for thinking of me!!
There’s a good show now on NHL Network...
Satellite is out. I guess your power is back?!

DS and his wife worked on the kitchen and main bathroom today while I babysat the grandson. In addition to the hundreds of dishes that they boxed up and the dozens upon dozens of bowls, cups, and assorted glassware, they found over 50 potholders, many of them brand new, and forty plus dish towels. It's just incredible how much stuff there is in this house.

My dog is the same way -- turns into a total wuss if he hears thunder. ;) Latches on to us like velcro until the storm passes. Then, he goes back to his usual demeanor -- we're dead to him. :hilarious:

You're lucky with this other dog; he's in the minority.
The other guy is a very sweet dog. He’s a rescue and he had been abused - his leg was broken and didn’t entirely heal properly so he favors it - but despite having what appears to have been an awful upbringing he’s just the sweetest happiest little guy.

I’m thinking that I’ve been spending too much time here and on Twitter ... I literally just tried to like one of the headlines on my news widget.

That being said, yay! Toys R Us has cancelled bankruptcy plans and is reviving the brand.
How does one cancel a bankruptcy? That ship has already sailed! Did they find a few billion in a desk drawer that they forgot to deposit? Haven't they broken their leases in centers and possibly been replaced by some other retail establishment? Color (or Colour) me completely confused. That was done months ago! Bankruptcy means that your debt outweighs your assets. Did they put David Cooperfield on the Board of Directors? :confused:o_O

Working one one bedroom closet today. So far we have 27 dress jackets, 21 blouses, 6 cardigan sweaters, and assorted shirts, sweatshirts, etc boxed up for Goodwill, and probably half that much again saved in the basement. It's truly mind boggling.

On our last trip here, DH and I had cleaned out 2 1/2 shelves from the pantry, basically threw away 3 huge bags of long expired canned goods and baking supplies. Some of the cans had exploded so the shelves were absolutely disgustingly sticky and gross, and there were little bugs in various places. So we finished the 3rd shelf today and I took the shelves out and scrubbed them in the tub. it took me an hour and a half just to get those 3 shelves clean. I'll be glad when we get this place ready enough for DS and family to move in.

and an update on the closet work from this morning. We saved 157 pieces of clothing and donated 4 more bags plus a couple of boxes of clothes. Most of the stuff is name-brand, hardly-if-ever worn, beautiful stuff. Hopefully it will find a worthy new home.
