#12 got my eyelids to flutter. Is that close enough?
I think #13 was my favorite. (2,000 mockingbirds = Two kilomockingbirds). :hilarious::rolleyes:

Of course, the math is all wrong on that one. They completely left out that one extra bird which swears and uses obscenities nonstop.
(You can't get Two Kilomockingbirds without Add-a-Cussin'-Finch)
If that didn't make your eyes roll... you never read the novel.

I wonder how many fans stayed until the end of that game. I know it was in the Nationals park and the Nats won but once the slaughter of the Mets was clear was it really that much fun to watch any more? Although it does seem like a historic sports moment.

I played in a co-ed softball league a long time ago where the men had to bat opposite-handed.

Once the score is lopsided enough they should make Harper and Murphy bat right-handed, Zimmerman left-handed, etc.

The last inning or two was probably a pointless embarrassment for everyone involved. Maybe if this sort of thing happened more often they'd institute a mercy rule.

I probably would've stayed and watched the entire thing play through. If you think about it, once the Mets scored that 3rd 9th-inning run, they could have formed a miraculous rally with just a few more homers, some loaded bases, and a Nats forfeit. Not saying those chances were likely... but you never know in baseball.
