Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

I’ve done TWO good deeds today. I don’t need to cook. Sammy’s it is.

All you can eat fish and chips for Mike.

The usual for me.

This is the only place that I frequent that adds onions to a Caesar salad, but no worries, I’ve never met an onion I didn’t like. :hungry:

Last day in this part of Fla... last day to visit the Everglades this trip. :bawling:

But first, since it is my last day in this area, and we know this is where he is.... I had the civic duty of saying farewell to Bob.

Iguanas?? And I neglected to bring an umbrella hat. :cautious:

Glad to know some of these fellows survived the Falling Out Of Trees Winter Apocalypse from January.

And besides iguanas, Bob also has goats, large tortoises, and he even saved the chickens. Thank you, Bob.

Not to mention he makes the best fruit milkshakes. I tried a banana one. It was excellent.

Until next time, farewell Bob. Glad to know you're here.

I'm glad Bob has been keeping the party goats well fed. I forgot about them when it was my turn to watch them.

A couple of years ago I took a swamp boat ride through a part of the Everglades. Previous to the I was on this road on the way back from Key West. I spent so much time stopping at every pull off that was in Keys that by the time I got to this road it was close to Midnight. I remember driving across the state and never meeting another car, seeing one in front of me or one behind me. It was like the whole world was closed for the night. My only thought was what am I going to do if the car breaks down. There were cell phones back then, but, getting a signal was always a challenge. You'll be happy to know that I made it through unscathed.

During Auntie’s last trip to Tanzania in March, we were able to open up a second house to clothe, feed, and accommodate 10 more boys. 10 kids out of thousands of homeless in Mwanza may sound like nothing ... unless you’re one of those ten kids.

I doesn't sound like nothing to me! Well done! One of my co-workers goes to Gambia a couple times a year and brings clothes, toys, toiletries, medicine, etc for people. I just gave her all DD's old clothes and some shoes. They also got a car for the contact person. He's a taxi driver, but didn't have his own car, so he had to rent a car for his taxi business and then he doesn't make much. So they were able to get him a car so he can earn more money and get more things for the people in his community. It's so sad to see the poverty in those areas. Any small thing is huge to them. They look so excited about the mattresses!!

That is a beautiful, uplifting story, and shows that there are still so many good, kind-hearted people in the world.

@Nemo14 , I just placed an order with Shari's Berries for my FIL for Father's Day. Surprisingly, I actually did not order the chocolate covered strawberries, because I think I found something else that he'd like better. (He doesn't really have a big sweet tooth.) So, I ordered a more savory selection -- salami/cheese/crackers/nuts/dried apricots, etc. gift crate. They put it in a white wooden gift box which I thought was a nice touch.

Thanks for the tip. :) It's always good to send something different--(I hate ordering the same stuff all the time!)

I too ended up ordering Shari’s Berries for my dad. I went with the chocolate covered strawberries (some had nuts too). But I made a mistake, i thought Fathers Day was this weekend so I had them delivered two days ago! I’m putting it down to the rush of the end of the school year, my brain was fried. Oh well, he got them early and liked them. I guess early is better than late or not sending anything!

So apparently Everglades National Park is NOT the only place in Florida where crocodiles live...

Hey there old friend, hanging on the ceiling. It's been far too long since I've seen you around.

I see Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular blasting off in a galaxy theme park far, far away.

Edit: I was beginning to wonder if that was HEA or Illuminations, but after looking at showtimes, yep definitely Star Wars.

Good lord -- where is this alternate universe you've landed in??!! :jawdrop:

Wait -- use the early delivery to your advantage! You're such a wonderful daughter, that you simply could not wait for dad to receive his delicious gift for another whole week. (He'll be quite impressed.) ;)

Someone spelled “they’re” wrong.
Yes, I am that person.

ETA - Oops, I just saw the . Nonetheless, it bears repeating.
