So because we're leaving the cats coughed up a little gift for us on the living room carpet...
I know it's a few weeks away, but what in heaven's name do you get for a Father's Day gift, for a man who is 90? (Hubs' father) We usually end up sending him food (like Omaha Steaks--they also have fish and chicken by the way). Just wish there was something else for a change.
Is there somewhere he regularly buys clothing, or something for a hobby? You could get a gift card for that store. Or to restaurants you know he likes. We have to think of something new for my FIL. We always used to get him giftcards for the store where he bought stuff for his birds and his gardening. But now he's had to give up a lot of his hobbying because of his health. He just can't do what he used to be able to. So that's no longer a gift for him...our other go to has always been new photos of the kids, but that won't help you either.I know it's a few weeks away, but what in heaven's name do you get for a Father's Day gift, for a man who is 90? Oh, another thing I did once is I ordered from Cabella's...they have meats, cheeses, etc you can order. I ordered a trio of meats to go in the oven....a ham, a turkey, and something else...maybe a roast? Something different than the usual steaks.I was thinking similar thoughts this morning but for my dad. I was thinking of maybe something sweet from Harry and David since I usually do Omaha Steaks for Christmas. But in the end I might just send a gift card to Walmart, it is uninspired but it is something he can use.
Edit: I just read @Nemo14 post about the chocolate covered strawberries and I might go with those. My dad likes strawberries. Thanks!
This is actually the new and improved Saget thread.Been three years since I've logged into this forum, the fact that this thread is still going doesn't disappoint.
