Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Speaking of the Land pavilion, I really like Sunshine Seasons for QS. One day I had a shrimp stir-fry over noodles and veggies (no photo, dang!).

Another day I had a delicious turkey, Monterey Jack, and lemon aioli sandwich on ciabatta. There was a very tasty red skinned potato salad served with it. Yum!!! :hungry: (P.S.: My only minor rant with Sunshine Seasons is that they "hide" milk. They try to push the more expensive drinks like soy milk, which I like, but that's not the point here.)

The biggest disappointment of my trip last year was not the new Soarin'. It was not that Frozen had taken over Maelstrom. It was that SS no longer offers the kids pizza paninis. I was heartbroken.

We officially have the hottest Memorial Day on record, too. Previous record was 92 set in 1953, and today it got to 93.

These are Madison temps, by the way.

It was only 86 or 87 here today, BUT the problem is that there's no AC. So it's pretty miserable. They only scheduled me to work until noon, but DS doesn't get out of school until 3 on Tuesdays. His school is close to where I work, but not close to home. I needed to get a couple of things in the Centrum, so I went there and had lunch and got what I needed, and then I could have gone home, but I'd no more have gotten home than I'd have had to turn around and go to pick DS up, and I have to go through the Centrum to get there anyway. So I cheated and went to the library as they are one of the few places that DOES have AC. So I sat there for like 20 minutes until I needed to go. It was soooo nice. And it was really muggy today...so I pick DS up from school and we are biking back and he stops to rest about 5 minutes from home as he often does. (It kind of makes me panic because a lot of his bullies live in the area, but I know he needs to be independent and it's good for him to see that I trust him to do things on his own, so I let him stay and I go on ahead....he's never more than a few minutes behind me.) I get home, pull my bike in under the port and hear the first rumble of thunder. In fact, I wasn't even sure I heard it because it was still hot and sunny. I grab my bag and step out from under the port, hear the thunder again and feel a couple of drops. I sent up a prayer that PLEASE let DS not have stopped for long!!! I get in the house, I'm putting my work stuff away, and it starts raining big huge drops....it's not heavy yet, just big drops. There comes DS with rain spattered shorts, but nothing big....HE of course says he's "soaked" and insists on changing his clothes because he doesn't like wet cloathes. And then it DUMPED. So I notified DH that dinner plans had changed as I couldn't get to the grocery store at that moment. It finally dies down, I decide now's the time to get groceries. I step outside and there are just a few drops. I was only in the store for about 5 minutes...really not long at all, but I came out and needed my umbrella just to get from one overhang to the next!! It was crazy. I live just about 3 minutes walking from the store, and in those 3 minutes my cloth grocery bag got soaked. But do you think the rain has cooled anything down? Of course not. DS is sleeping downstairs where it's cooler, DD keeps coming in because she can't sleep, and I've got a wet hand towel draped over me and I'm still swealtering. Supposed to get hail and a lot of wind tonight....code orange warning. And tomorrow is supposed to be 85 degrees again!

I guess I was wrong....we got up to 88 today. One site says 91.4, and I don't know what the humidity was at that high point, but right now, it says current level is 96%. No wonder it feels like a sauna! Could someone call Mother Nature and tell her the thermostat is broken and ask if she could turn down the heat a nudge? The Netherlands aren't equipped to deal with this kind of heat.

OMG, all that cheese is going to melt. Did you have a bunch of burgers done up to pour the cheese on? But, it is Wisconsin so the chances are good that it will snow tomorrow.;)
Today was in the low 90s, but it is supposed to cool down to the upper 70s tomorrow.

Paperclip day? Really? They really have a day for EVERYTHING, don't they! Personally, I think Paperclip Day should be the day you decorate your Christmas tree, because that's mostly what I use paperclips for....in place of those little hooks to hang ornaments on the tree.
I'm very picky between big and small paperclips. 90% of the time I use the big ones. The small ones just don't get the job done with all the copying I do in a week.

I'm not sure I know anyone who DOESN'T do that...execpt maybe people who don't have Christmas trees...so...1 person, I guess, in my circle of friends.

Make that 2 people. ;) I've never even heard of using paper clips to hang up decorations on a Christmas tree. I just use the little metal hooks that you buy in a package. (I think over the years, I've probably lost hundreds of those little metal things! :p )

Whenyou're a teacher with thousands of paper clips, you don't buy hooks. :geek:

:p Well, I've used a ton of them in all my office jobs down through the years, and I still had not heard of the Christmas tree ornament application. Teachers must be more creative than office workers.
