Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Still a lot to do, and nearly a week away, but never too early to start getting Everglades-ready!

Though something seems to be missing... something every major road trip needs... The Clipboard of Fun!

It's a start.

And for the record, there is nothing touristy about wearing an alligator shirt and a Fla cap when traveling to Florida. Nothing touristy at all, whatsoever. Nope.
:cautious:

Glad to see you have your bug spray. Bugs thought my legs were a buffet for them last week, and I always get these large red swelling reactions from whatever the heck bite my legs. Some trips to FL haven't been too bad, but last week the bugs were ruthless!!

Hi there. They were fixing the bridge (between the Swan and Dolphin) that the Friendship boats sail under, when en route to/from DHS or EPCOT. The ONE week I picked out of a year to go on vacation, and they shut the boats down completely.

It was only the Friendship boats that were shut down. All other watercraft throughout WDW was operating as usual.
So did you have alternate transportation? Are there buses that go from Swolphin? Or did you have to walk to one of the parks to take transportation from one park to another?

That stuff in the small white container works the best of any product (imo). It's called Sawyer premium insect repellant with 20% picaridin. I bought that bottle while down at the Okefenokee Swamp in October. I highly recommend it next time you head south.

And don't forget my angry eyes. Traffic on the I-95 corridor near Miami can be quite the Meg.

They had substitute bus service to/from EPCOT and DHS. It wasn't that bad, but the signage was totally missing at EPCOT as to what location you'd get the bus back to Swan or Dolphin (or even the Boardwalk resort). They totally messed that part up and some guests were really mad about it. I won't even get into the discussion I overheard from a few irate guests with a "manager" of the bus crew--beyond pathetic. He was useless.

I didn't check it all day, but, the highest I noted was 85 degrees, but, the humidity was off the charts. The summer I moved, actually the spring that I moved, by now I remember the highs to be 106 about now. Noisy as well, that was the year of the Cicadas and this should be the year of the return, but, I haven't heard any yet.

50 here right now...

51 here at 6:00 AM. Love it so nice and cool. :)

But if you prefer sunlight, here's a few pictures you might like. The Land at EPCOT is one of my all-time favorites.

I'm intrigued by integrated aquaculture. The plants growing above keep the water clean for the fish in the tank below, and the fish provide a natural fertilizer for the plants to grow.

I love the Land ride, I wish I had the patience and talent to grow plants. But I do enjoy gardens. If I ever win the lottery I will not hire a maid to clean my house or a cook, I will hire a gardener to make and take care of a fantastic garden for me.

One of my favorite rides! It's close to being my top ride at Epcot, but SSE has that due to classic nostalgia factor.

Speaking of the Land pavilion, I really like Sunshine Seasons for QS. One day I had a shrimp stir-fry over noodles and veggies (no photo, dang!).

Another day I had a delicious turkey, Monterey Jack, and lemon aioli sandwich on ciabatta. There was a very tasty red skinned potato salad served with it. Yum!!! :hungry: (P.S.: My only minor rant with Sunshine Seasons is that they "hide" milk. They try to push the more expensive drinks like soy milk, which I like, but that's not the point here.)
