Well I'm shocked! I thought for sure they had food in Canada. I didn't know they had to keep crossing down into the US to get it. I guess Canada really is like a foreign country.Let’s face it - there’s only ONE reason they keep coming back to NY

Couple of long days, and then I made yesterday even longer by detouring to Krispy Kreme on my way home. Nearly hit a cyclist crossing against the light, with no lights on his bike. Then I got a little flustered and missed my turn and had to do a five minute detour through an unfamiliar industrial area. The donuts weren’t even for me, and then all I got were sour attitudes from the boys.
Rather than return their snotty attitude, I made tea, and went up to read.
I made a pretty meme though.

There are a few must do’s this trip - walk the Brooklyn Bridge, check out the Highline, ride the Staten Island Ferry, try the banana pudding at Magnolia Bakery ....
We have a date with Billy Joel, a day with @NYwdwfan, a 25th anniversary to celebrate, and only five days to do it all.
I’m really looking forward to it.

My daughter's orthodontist's office told me today that they would like her to be one of their "featured smiles" in their advertising. 
Wow, very small office but I thought that was cool. And no, her name isn't attached to it at all. Just a kid in an ad but my kid, still saying wow to myself. She had the pics taken this morning.

Funniest thing, I have spent the past four hours combing menus and making ressies. Our days are going to revolve around where we’re eating and at what time.
Kinda like that Disney place.Please feel free to Google all, some, or none of the following:
Monday - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant - W56th
Tuesday - Smith and Wollensky - 3rd & 49th
Wednesday - Ellen’s Stardust Diner - before Billy Joel (we plan on queuing up around 4:00), and then street meat or 99 cent pizza after the concert
Thursday - Carmine’s - W44th
Friday - Loi Estiatorio - near Columbus Circle (3 course prix fixe lunch available 12-3)
I’m planning to stick to my low carb/starch free diet. Wish me luck!

PS- The judges on American Idol are all trash. They offer no feedback. Can't believe they're being invited back for the season renewal.

Thank you for the background. Actually, I've only seen American Idol a few times (over the years). I was watching it somewhat recently and Katy Perry was a judge, too. I thought she was a bit "much" to say the least--acted a bit too full of herself, as the expression goes.
She's terrible, and you can tell half of the comments made are scripted. The show was trash at the end of its first run, and it's trash again now.
