OK, if you say so. Never saw the movie, but, I did ride it at Universal many times. It was the most intense ride I have ever been on. Hate the Simpsons ride!It was a Back to the Future reference!
I actually got the reference. Ha!It was a Back to the Future reference!
A large bear out and about this morning around 4:30am. Guess who didn't have his camera with him?
Awww....she's adorable!!! Ours was Cocka-hua hua. But looked SOOOO much like your Holly!! This was when we first got Rascal...I think I was 9 or 10 in this picture. And they are such great dogs!!! Rascal stayed tiny....probably the chihuahua, though cockerspaniels aren't huge either. I haven't had the heart to get another dog since we had to put him to sleep. I loved him so so much. I know how hard it is to have to make that decision, but you did the right thing for Holly. And it sounds like you got to be with her, so I'm sure she appreciated that. I'm so glad you have some good pictures from the good times. She looks lovely.Thank you. She was a very sweet, gentle natured dog. She is irreplaceable, so we’ve agreed to not even try. Besides, we can’t bear to have our hearts ripped out again.
She was a cocka-poo - half cocker spaniel/half poodle. Even the smaller breeds run 15-20 lbs, but she was the runt of the litter, and always had a tiny, delicate appetite. She never topped 8 lbs in her entire life, and certainly weighed less than that near the end.
Mike is having a very difficult day. And while I admit to keeping the tissues close by all day, for me, the worst days were Thursday through yesterday. I did NOT want to have to play God and end her precious life. That’s part of the pet-owner contract though. They promise to love you unconditionally, and you promise to put your own wishes aside if it means saving them from a painful end. Trust me, yesterday hurt me way more than it hurt her.
I’ve found some pics from happier times:View attachment 281832View attachment 281833View attachment 281834View attachment 281835View attachment 281836View attachment 281838View attachment 281839View attachment 281840View attachment 281841View attachment 281842

That sweater vest is like staring into my childhood!Awww....she's adorable!!! Ours was Cocka-hua hua. But looked SOOOO much like your Holly!! Ha!! Isn't it classy? I remember one of the teachers pretending to try to pick the strawberries off the sweater. I thought it was so funny. But it was one of my favorite sweaters. That sweater vest is like staring into my childhood!
That sounds awesome but to you it's probably the equivalent of when I go to New Jersey.I'm not on a whole lot this weekend because we are in Germany visiting some friends. They both had to work today, so I am catching up, but hope everyone has a great weekend if I don't make it back in here.
I am taking my time to plan more "fun" things for next year, like what kind of schedule I'm going to find on TeachersPayTeachers, what my classroom layout will look like when/if I get my SMARTBoard moved, etc. We had a field trip today, and I used that as an excuse to not write a newsletter or send home our weekly book bags. Any little excuse I can find to not do something, I'm taking. We only have 3 full weeks left, plus a 4 day week with Memorial Day, plus a day and a half the last week (the last day is half day for kids, full day for staff). This is so totally true! I have so much to do but I just can't motivate for it. I think I wasted 2 of my prep periods this week, just dawdling around my classroom. Maybe next week will be better....
