Celebrating that DD got an acceptance letter for the high school program she applied to for next year!! So proud of her! I've been worried because we hadn't heard anything yet and we applied back in February, and this week was the big test for the 6th graders and she finished it today, so I was panicking that either the elementary school lost the application or had forgotten to turn it in to the high school, or that there were too many kids who applied and they would have to turn some kids down. But she was accepted and has an orientation in June. Whew. I'm so relieved!!

Got let out of school early today for the snow/ice storm. Apparently it was thundering in some parts of the area, too. Hoping it's all cleared by tomorrow. It's supposed to get into the 40s and 50s the rest of the week, with 60s into next week, so hopefully the nasty stuff won't last long.

Looks like we only got about 2 inches here. Still coming down slowly, but is supposed to end late tonight or early in the morning hours. Not sure about where I work, but most of it should melt tomorrow, and the rest within the following day or two.
