Is snow common in the winter there?Predicted up to 6 or 8 inches of snow tomorrow morning through Thursday morning. I'm not even going to comment on the weather beyond that because I've jinxed myself before.

Made it to the Georgia highpoint yesterday. Got to the summit around 11ish. Since most of you are fed up with snow and winter... I'll post pictures under a spoiler tag. I'll admit, for being so unseasonably frozen, and visibility being much less than stellar, it was still a very lovely day on the mountain.
After driving up a good portion of the mountain, we arrived in winter, and the parking lot near the summit. That looming peak in the clouds ahead would be the Georgia state highpoint (Elevation: 4,784 ft.)

Nearing the summit, the observation tower is seen peeking down at us through the clouds.

Interesting fact: On a clear day, standing on this peak, and using one of these, or a good pair of binoculars, or zoom with a camera... you can see the downtown Atlanta skyline off on the horizon.

But since we were surrounded by a cloud, the only view we were getting of the Georgia horizon was this:

Yet even with visibility being minimal, and wind being strong enough to knock you sideways, the atmosphere of being in a snow cloud was quite remarkable, and I was very glad we visited while it was like this. There will be plenty of clearer days to visit in the future, but this, especially being in mid-April, was pretty darn amazing. I loved it.

If you have to get a new Keurig (and I did), then you might as well go for a splash of colour.
Oh look, it’s my favourite splash of colour.

It's on my list, along with the breadmaker and sandwich press. Just have to convince a certain man in the house that we'll never use them.Donate it.
I've done that - and worse. No, but one time I fell forward off a sidewalk curb -- while walking . . . did a face plant.![]()

Plain old c hooks, screwed into the bottom of the cupboards.Love the backsplash (we have the same or similar pattern). That blue is so pretty. And what are the mugs hanging from? Are they hanging from something drilled through the backsplash or a command strip type of hook?
