Don't get me started!Understandable. It was an older black and white photo, and I can see how people sometimes get confused. (But can you yodel? Julie could yodel.)

I guess if you're comparing yourself to someone, what about Bob?People often say that.
How do you solve a problem like Nemo14?No, that's me. People often mistake her for me.
Don't get me started!
We did Clingman’s Dome a looong time ago, when I was in grade school. I think the Appalachians are a lot shorter now.A few pictures of Clingmans Dome (the highest point in TN) from earlier this morning.

From the top.
No, no, not too late. Go do it now. He’ll be back that way. Eventually.I wish you would have let me know when you were looking toward N. Carolina. I'd would have run outside and jumped up and down and waved both my arms so you could spot me. To late now I guess.
I thought I felt the ground sink a little today as we were hiking. I figured it was caused by waffles, not erosion.I think the Appalachians are a lot shorter now.
Jeez, I'd love to, but, the old bursitis is kicking in so this wouldn't be a good time. Yesterday was the only window of opportunity that I had, eh!No, no, not too late. Go do it now. He’ll be back that way. Eventually.
I'm glad you caught the reference. Although I've never seen the movie.
I agree, but I can't really take credit for that, because that was my daughter's slip of the tongue, and we just ran with it. We also have a few others, like...I don't know why, but sometimes when I hear something, the message is scrambled in my brain and I hear something completely different from what a person actually said. My husband told me that my bangs were messed up and I heard "I'm going to zap you through your nose." ??? And so now, whenever my bangs are messed up, he says he's going to zap me through my nose, and I know exactly what he's telling me. Or we asked my son what he wanted for breakfast and he said "Chocolate muffin" and I heard "Chicken in the face". So now, chocolate muffins have been dubbed "Chicken in the face". It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. I think most people who don't know us would be perplexed if they heard our communication, but I guess as long as WE understand each other, it's all good.Changing POTC to "Carrots of the Pirabbean" is still one of your greatest accomplishments in official name changes. That is golden.
Beautiful! I had to look up what the highest point in Wyoming was...so, if the highest point is a mountain, do you actually climb the mountain? Are there trails for everything?A few pictures of Clingmans Dome (the highest point in TN) from earlier this morning.
Got to the trailhead around 8:15ish. The sunshine at the top was heavenly, but don't let it fool you... VERY chilly and very windy. I blame my friend Stony (the mtn. bench guy I showed earlier) for getting me back into this highpoint gig... a.k.a. visiting every state high point (Like I even have a shot at hitting all 50. ) But still a fun hobby, and I'm planning on doing Brasstown Bald (GA's highpoint) and / or Mt. Mitchell (NC's highpoint) in a few weeks when time allows.
Anyhow, today was Clingmans Dome. While an elevation of 6,643 ft. may sound impressive for a short, early morning hike... the walking part itself from the parking lot is only...

Just half a mile. But it was a steep half mile, so that counts for something, Yes?

Arriving early, and visiting during the week right after Spring Break, rewarded us with NO other crowds on the trail or tower! Heavenly!

No bear sightings this time. They should be getting more active within the next several weeks. The sun looked very nice, but was very misleading as to what it actually felt like. Mid to low 30's without factoring in wind-chill. But still very worth it to be up there.
He climbs EVERY mountain.Beautiful! I had to look up what the highest point in Wyoming was...so, if the highest point is a mountain, do you actually climb the mountain? Are there trails for everything?
Aaaaah, it’s a song, according to Google. He climbs EVERY mountain.
