Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Actually I just called the guy - it's going to be more like 6 weeks since we want the bench seat in the middle row and not the captains chairs (makes it seat 8 not 7) and most people that want my color go with the captain's chairs so that's what all the local dealerships have on order. Personally I don't care - I'll be driving and I don't give a rats behind what's back there - so I let the kids pick and they wanted the ability to cart an extra friend. Since they are ordering it from the factory it will take longer but it will be shrink-wrapped and brand spanking new when I get it.

Scenes from a marriage:
Me: Good morning.
DH: I haven't decided yet.
Me: Whether it's morning or whether it's a GOOD morning?
DH: Whether it's good.
Me: Of course it's not. It's morning. It's not meant to be good.
DH: Ok....then let's call it "flubberdawhatsky"
Me: But that's just such a long name....can I just call it "Bob"?
DH: No.
Me: But, what if it doesn't answer to Flubberdawhatsky?
DH: Well, does it answer to "morning"?
Me: Um....no. It doesn't take my commands no matter what I call it. Good point.

This is what marriage looks like at 6:30a.m. At least at our house.

Changing POTC to "Carrots of the Pirabbean" is still one of your greatest accomplishments in official name changes. That is golden.

A few pictures of Clingmans Dome (the highest point in TN) from earlier this morning.

Got to the trailhead around 8:15ish. The sunshine at the top was heavenly, but don't let it fool you... VERY chilly and very windy. I blame my friend Stony (the mtn. bench guy I showed earlier) for getting me back into this highpoint gig... a.k.a. visiting every state high point (Like I even have a shot at hitting all 50. ) But still a fun hobby, and I'm planning on doing Brasstown Bald (GA's highpoint) and / or Mt. Mitchell (NC's highpoint) in a few weeks when time allows.

Anyhow, today was Clingmans Dome. While an elevation of 6,643 ft. may sound impressive for a short, early morning hike... the walking part itself from the parking lot is only...

Just half a mile. But it was a steep half mile, so that counts for something, Yes?

Arriving early, and visiting during the week right after Spring Break, rewarded us with NO other crowds on the trail or tower! Heavenly!

No bear sightings this time. They should be getting more active within the next several weeks. The sun looked very nice, but was very misleading as to what it actually felt like. Mid to low 30's without factoring in wind-chill. But still very worth it to be up there.
Beautiful.

I wish you would have let me know when you were looking toward N. Carolina. I'd would have run outside and jumped up and down and waved both my arms so you could spot me. To late now I guess.

Next time. We'll make it happen. Get you something with good sun reflectors on it and we'll locate you.

Let me know when you're ready to tackle Jerimoth Hill!
That one may take months of training and investment in oxygen gear to cope with the high altitude. It's almost as treacherous as Florida's from what I hear. But sounds like a plan someday.
