Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Just got back home from a scavenger hunt with friends from church. It was a lot of fun. I had never done a scavenger hunt before. My team came in third out of five. Tomorrow night we’re going bowling.
That sounds fun. Was it an old fashioned scavenger hunt where you look for certain items or have to perform tasks or maybe a GPS thing where you follow coordinates to get clues?

A good friend of mine is in town this weekend. He's a board member for the Highpointer's Foundation. Basically they go around installing benches and plaques / markers at trailheads or at the top of state high points. (The highest mountain or elevation for each state) A lot of the benches you see, he either helped install, or in some cases, constructed entirely at his shop. His name is Stony, (hence the play on words: "A Stone On Every Bench"), and he's an outstanding person....veteran, cancer survivor, outdoor enthusiast...and is trying to convince me to join the Highpointer's club with he and his family.
Considering I've been to maybe 3, and he's hit nearly all 50...needless to say I have some catching up to do.

I don't see Jerimoth Hill in any of those. FAKE NEWS!!!

Hmm... He's been there, but maybe not benched there yet. I'll ask and see. I think the only 2 high points he's never made it to are Denali and Rainier.
I've seen them both (sort of) but not from the summit.

I used to live at the top of the hill one hill over from Jerimoth Hill. We always got a chuckle of people who were conquering the highest point in every state, since Jerimooth Hill, our highest point (with the possible exception of the landfill)is a whopping 811 feet above sea level. :joyfull:

We were given a long list of things we had to find and take a picture of. We also had a list of things he had to find answers to. Like find what restaurant has a certain menu item and give the price. It was actually two scavenger hunts. The fist was at Pointe Orlando and the second was at CityWalk. In between we got dinner at Chic-fil-A. :hungry:
Curling, scavenger hunts, bowling . . . you're having too much fun! Sounds like your move to Florida really agrees with you.

It’s been nice getting to do more activities lately. My group of friends from church does something at least once a week. We did more than usual this weekend. We had the scavenger hunt yesterday. A lunch and fellowship today after morning service. We got to play Apples to Apples. That’s always fun. And then we had bowling after evening service. I had full weekend.

Next Sunday night we’re having a dessert social followed by a game of Jeopardy.
Sounds fun! How is curling going?

Still a work in progress. It’s going to take a lot more practice. Unfortunately, my schedule hasn’t allowed me to play as often as I would like.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Apples to Apples is a great game. We played it both Christmas Eve and Family Day at my brother’s. I’ve posted FB pics from both occasions.

I’m so pleased to hear you’re getting out there and getting involved. Leave a couple of slots open for us in September. 🙂

I am freezing, hungry, and exhausted.
Solution - hot tea. Three birds/one stone.

Plus, I am definitely going to have an early night. Sold 15 houses this weekend. I was hoping to sell all 46, but the Builders only released 29. Still, that’s more than half, and now I’ve actually got stuff to sell in the coming weeks.

I be happy. (And freezing, and hungry, and tired.) Time for a second stone.

Have a great week everyone. 👍

I must have missed those FB posts. I hadn't played Apples to Apples in a while. It's definitely one my favorietes.

Oh, absolutely! I'm really looking forward to meeting up again.

We got a new OTR this week. The last one was on its last legs, and then it zapped Ski when he tried to change the light bulb.

The new one feels waaaaay too big for the space, but I love it anyway.

Nice picture--I like the tiles near the stove, and also the peacock blue color of the tea kettle, against the darker colors. I don't think you should sell houses; rather, I think your talent leans more toward interior design. :)

Does he need an assistant? I would love a job doing what he does!
