Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Don't think we're going this year, but probably will next year in the summer. Hoping Galaxy's Edge will be open by then.
I heard Galaxy's Edge won't open until November 2019, but, I don't know where that date came from. Other things I read just said "late 2019" and I've seen nothing official, but the rumors point to it not being open yet in the Summer.

Darn. I was hoping they'd get it open for the summer vacations. But, holiday vacations make sense, too. And maybe that's the best. Let the incredibly insane first couple months die down, and then visit when it's still super busy, but not quite as much. We've kind of been on an "every other year" streak now, after going nearly every year.

Well, to be honest, I think Disney is shooting themselves in the foot if they don't get it going for the Summer months, but maybe it's strategic because those are already busy months and they really want to attract the people later in the year when it's NOT usually that busy. Maybe they are hoping that the opening will pull in those crowds, but it's SW....I doubt that it would die down that quickly. They are still going to pull in crowds for at least a year or two, no matter WHEN they open it up. Look at how busy Pandora still is, and that doesn't have nearly the fan base that SW does! But I'm actually hoping they DON'T open in the Summer because that's when we're planning to go and I really don't want to deal with those crowds. I'd rather go before it opens and let all the real fanatics have at it and catch it in a few years on our next trip (if I can convince hubby to go again) when it's died down to normal fandom proportions. But what I've read is that they want to have the Gondola system up and running smoothly before they open SW:GE, and I THINK I saw that the gondolas were supposed to start running in the summer of 2019, which would put SW opening sometime after that. But I could be wrong. Like I said, I don't know where the November date came from, so it could be completely unreliable.

I spent the evening last night
never mind...got it. Basically, the screens in the cockpit (all working together) will look so crisp and amazingly perfect, and all linked perfectly with the movement, it will really feel like you're there. And that will scare the carp out of us.
Unless, of course, we happen to remember that they are screens. Then it will be entertaining but not scary.

We're back. No eagles but we did see a hawk in a tree, then went down to the beach and took a few shots there. Nice details to that camera. We'll go back next week if the sun ever returns.

As @JenniferS usually says, "pictures or it didn't happen!" ;) Do you like this new camera more than the one you used recently for your eagle pictures in Florida?

They both have their advantages, and we still have a lot to learn with the new one. It will be primarily DH's while the other one is primarily mine. Mine has a killer zoom, whereas his is a crisper picture. We'll use them both in Yellowstone in the fall.
