No concert for us this trip either. :(
Next time, I’m going to get Billy Joel tickets FIRST, and then plan the trip around that. Billy Joel at MSG is on Mike’s Bucket List.

Don't tell Mike that hubs and I saw Billy at the turn of the century concert at MSG. (We got great seats at a huge discount, because hubs was working with one of his guitarists at the time.)

And then they tore the sucker down.

More geekdom for moi :geek: -- a stately plaque, and I love railroad history.
Been to Penn a number of times--doesn't hold a candle to Grand Central though.

Mike is geeking out again, as he has just figured out that he can see the Intrepid from our window.

Wow. What a great sight, even from a distance. I'm so happy you both got an upper level floor room, so that you can see all kinds of cool stuff. :)

Q - Who does touristy things whilst in New York?
A - Tourists.

Oh, this is so romantic! :inlove: :inlove: I've always wanted to take a carriage ride.

The first concert I ever went to was Billy Joel on Nov 23 1978 in Memphis, during the 52nd Street tour.

Wow. That must have been something--seeing him and his musicians back in 1978.

The Millennium Concert was awesome, by the way. (I recall when they hooked into a "live" feed (before midnight), to one of the major TV networks, during their New Year's Eve telecast from N.Y. City -- Billy let the audience know ahead of time when they would cut in.) Very exciting and memorable night for us in the Big Apple!
