View attachment 246415 Does anyone remember a time when teenagers wanted to earn money raking leaves? That seems soooo long ago. Every year that I get older I dread raking leaves more and more. Yet today in NJ it will be 57 degrees so here I go with the raking!

btw....it was a really nice weather day.
......the winds were almost non-existent. That made it easier to bag the leaves in the tall biodegradable bags pictured above.

Between bears and eagles, if 2017 has taught me anything, it's that neither of us should walk out the door without a camera. Ever. Treat the camera like the wallet & car keys...it goes where we go.
I very seldom leave home without it. But I did have my phone...

Well, this doesn’t feel right.
Holly has always been a very delicate eater with a petite appetite. We’ve always just left her kibble bowl full and let her graze.

About a year and a half ago, we switched her to puppy food for the extra calories, and added a serving of canned puppy food for supper.

She gave up the kibble completely in the late spring, and I switched her to soft chunks of “raw food”. She stopped eating that a couple of days ago, even though she loved it. And now for the last couple of days she won’t eat her canned food unless I finger feed it to her. Today, not even then.

I’ve explained to her that while her “time” is certainly coming, this is not it. I already had to put a dog down on Thanksgiving weekend (six years ago). I don’t want to do it again. She just ignores me and keeps sleeping. *sigh*
Try sweet potato or pumpkin. Easy to digest and she may eat it.

Inside the Ark, you could certainly hear the wide array of critters safely in cages to ride out the storm.

Standing near the front on the inside, there were sounds of creaking board, roaring wind, thunder, and strong waves.

Exit? Um, no. I choose not to drown in a massive flood, thank you very much.

The floors are remarkably clean. I wish our stalls looked as clean as those!

Get a mulching lawn mower or just use the one you have and run over them a few times. They will break up into little pieces and float down into the soil, decay and become lawn fertilizer and creator of more soil. I've never understood why people work so hard to get rid of natural lawn fertilizer and then run out and buy more.
