Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
We don't spend much time there. Some trips my wife and daughter would shop at World of Disney or whatever it's called while I took my son to Typhoon Lagoon. We've only spent a couple of hours in total at DQ in all of our trips going back to 2003.
We go at least twice/trip.
It's lovely to take the boat over to the PO resorts, do a walk about, grab some lunch, and take the boat back.

If you're on DDP, the whole afternoon is free, and frees up a park day for later in the trip; as we only get 10 day passes for an 11 - 14 day trip.

Now of course, Uni is looking good for a couple of those extra days.

We usually only buy an ornament from the Christmas store there. But I have over $100 in gift cards this time, and I have no idea what I'm going to spend it on.

Does that make me sound like a spoiled brat?
Not at all.
Some years we have no money - and I want EVERYTHING!
Some years we are bucks up - but nothing catches my fancy.

Last year, as you may recall, was the perfect storm retail-wise - we had $, someone had given us $1000 USD to blow, and I wanted everything I saw! You might have seen the pics I posted in Chit Chat back in November. It was nuts!

This year, I'm restricting myself to a Dooney & Bourke (or two), an maybe an exclusive in-park Pandora charm. That's it.

I think I should stick to ponchos and those light-up toys that are sold at parades. You can't get enough of either of those.

The past couple of years we have spent a few hours there each trip. Of course, when you have good company, a table at DTD is quite enjoyable!

No this would make you sound like a spoiled brat: "I have someone else's unlimited funds to spend at Disney and even if I don't get everything I want this trip, I will be back again in 3 months so I can just have someone buy it for me then."

We've done the boat trip from POFQ, and looked around RFC and T-Rex, and been here...

...but out of 60-70 days I've spent at WDW since 2003, all of the time I've spent at DTD would equal less than 1 day.

I love the boat ride from POR to DTD. Last year (or two years ago, I can't remember), we took our fellow Disney travel buddies (my uncle, aunt and two cousins) on the boat with us, and they thought it was so long and boring. They viewed it as simply transportation, we view it as another attraction in a sense. It's just a nice change of pace from running from attraction to attraction. Kind of relaxing.

We took the new boat they have from the marketplace to the West Side. It was really nice. That's one of the reason's I loved staying at WL - the first and last ride of our MK days was the boat ride.

The monorail is an attraction for us too. The buses....not so much.

I find the monorail as an attraction, too, but my mom does not. She views it like she views the buses: transportation that is a pain. I also find the ferry to be an attraction, when it's not at the end of the night when it's like a herd of cattle being transported. And the WDW Railroad, too, is an attraction for me. I love to just ride it around the park once. The railroad sound is a classic MK sound for me.
