Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
We do not. It is a Commonwealth thing. And we have Veteran's Day instead.
Yup, I knew you called it by a different name and I learned first hand (at Pepper Market no less) that the two minutes of silence at 11:00 am is not a thing; I just didn’t know about the poppy.

The poppy and the poem In Flander’s Fields are even memorialized on our new $10 notes - which do not smell like maple syrup by the way. (That’s reserved for $100’s.)

Do you guys wear poppies?

The official campaign started today. Canadians wear a red poppy over their heart in the days leading up to Remembrance Day (November 11). I did a Google image search, and it looks like Brits do too.

I can remember as a kid that the American Legion would come around every November selling poppies for the 11th. No matter how poor we were, my parents always bought them. They looked like this and we'd wear them to watch the parade.
