Yea! I like turkey dinner pictures!
I wish I got all the vacations the kids do, too! Heck, even my weekends are spent planning for the coming week.Obviously, I picked the wrong career and venue. I should have been a teacher--you guys get all the vacations that the kids do, and I'm jealous!

That will probably get easier after you teach for a few years. You might be able to just tweak some lesson plans from previous years, with needed updates and all, but I think that it will get less busy for you as the years go on.
Sounds like the curriculums in the school I teach at change pretty frequently. All of our reading is new this year, so all of the teachers in the school (my grade specifically) are spending quite a bit of their weekends planning.That will probably get easier after you teach for a few years. Sorry to hear that. I would have thought that once school lets out in the afternoon, that the teachers would be working on their lesson plans. Never expected that any of that work would overflow into your weekend. I realize you're also busy grading papers, etc., while doing all this other stuff.
After school I pretty much make copies, tidy up the room, and we sometimes have meetings, too. I check emails, take care of odd-and-ends, and there are always tons of odds-and-ends. And by that time it's usually close to 5:00 or later, and I head out.

Not a fan of the new Baseline Tap House in DHS. They only have 2 small plates available--everything else is booze on the menu. I miss my Starring Rolls . .

Baseline replaces Writer’s Stop though, which had already morphed into a really lame bar, so I think this is a definite improvement. Also, Mike won’t have to go as far next year while I’m at the Frozen Singalong, because as @Eric1955 will attest, Mike “ain’t ever doing that again”.

Christmas/Hanukkah episode on The Goldbergs tonight. Aaaah, life is good. Summer’s over. Thanksgiving is on Monday. And then that’s it, I’m ready - bring on Christmas!
I’ve already decided we’re skipping Hallowe’en this year. I just cannot be bothered, and even when I can be bothered, my effort is minimal at best. I’ve already told Mike we’re not handing out candy this year. He’s declined comment to this point.

Oh, I misunderstood the location--I thought this was a revamp of the Starring Rolls location (I thought the revamp looked a bit more spacious -- that explains why -- not the same location!) Still miss my Starring Rolls though, even if it is a few "streets" away from the original Writer's Stop location.

I don’t know any Star Trek characters and I consider a tank top a layer. I’m thinking those are the questions that sealed it.
