Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Interesting, but more interesting is what is inside the building behind him. Is it kind of like Dairy Queen kind of ice cream or better? I haven't hear of Dairee Delite before. ;):)
It's a local institution. The lines on any given night are about 5 times deeper than the DQ down the road.

The banana split used to be a hotdog.

And how are people supposed to remember Albert Einstein now? UoE was the only way people were able to learn about him.
There's always his contributions to mathematics, science, his philosophy, & famous quotations. I think in due time, society will learn to remember him again for more of his positive accomplishments, rather than his current reputation from theme park attractions of yore.

It just may take some time.

No pics - they walked by too fast. In 3 hours rode Pirates, Buzz 3x in a row, Astro Orbiter, 7DMT, TLM and we are back on 7DMT line - about 15 mins to ride. Got lots of candy. Kids aren't interested in M&Gs - just like looking at the characters as we walk by. Hallowishes should start right as we get off 7DMT. Going to catch 2nd parade.

Caught the fireworks as we got off 7DMT, headed towards HM but got sidetracked by iasw, PP (with a 25 minute wait) and the Tangled potties. Boo to You was starting as we approached Frontierland so we stopped to watch then headed on to BTMRR because my daughter wanted to step it up a notch. Rode once in front, got off and ran around to ride in the middle, got off again and ran around to ride a third time and I sent the kids on by themselves. I can only get knocked around so many times in a row. Now we are waiting on the bus. Great fun last night.

You've had a great trip. Wait times have been pretty good from what you've shared.

Admit it, you love FP+! I do.

Random trip thoughts:

Air conditioning has been cranking in all 4 parks. DHS is a barren wasteland with no shade and no water to cool you off. At least EPCOT has those misting things and water play pads you can walk through. DHS needs something.

There's definitely something wrong with the system when a crowd is waiting for a bus and a scooter rolls up at the last second and gets loaded first with 8 family members and small children that were waiting on line end up having to stand.

I was surprised they gave away really good candy at the Halloween party. I was expecting garbage I wouldn't want to eat. That was not the case.

NRJ is not worth wasting a FP on. I will never make that mistake again. From now on - 2 days at AK, 2 FP for FoP. That was one fun ride. I'll ride NRJ when the wait is 15 minutes standby. If that point never comes, I'll be OK with that.

I enjoyed the new Soarin' movie. It was fun to have a different experience. I wish they kept the old music but it was still a nice ride. I did not like the new Mission Space green movie. Maybe orange is better but my son wanted green so I guess I'll find out some other time.

That's all I can think of for now.

I've seen M:S Green online. It looks fun. I doubt Mike and I will ever do Orange again. He says his head is still messed up from a decade ago.

If Soarin' 2.0 were playing on two screens, and the original on one screen, I would watch the original 4 out of 5 times. Maybe even 9 out of 10.

Thanks for the heads up about NRJ. We've got two FP's for FoP. We'll do standby for the boat ride. Pretty sure we won't luck out with just a 15 minute wait though. Not even during the two slowest weeks of the year.

I agree about the last minute scooters. There's got to be a solution there, but I don't know what it is, aside from a rental car. I'm not a feminist - no able bodied man should sit while women and children stand. Period. My boys wouldn't dream of it. Likewise, I will cede my seat to any person travelling with wee ones, or anyone who looks like they need a seat, irrespective of age or gender.

How was the food? I know people complain that DDP killed the food quality, but Mike says he hasn't had a bad meal ever. I'm waaaaay more picky than him, and I have to agree; most of it is pretty darn good.

Thanks for taking us along and sharing your thoughts and pictures. <3

Gotta love history!! :joyfull: In particular, this small-town stuff is the most fascinating.

As a side note here, do you know that my father used to do the same thing--read all kinds of plaques no matter where he went? As a family, we'd be walking down a sidewalk someplace, and all of a sudden, he'd stop: "Oh, I need to study this plaque over here." (Yes, he always said study--he was serious about the whole thing. ;) ) So, we'd all stop and as kids, we'd be like this . . . . . . but now, years later, I've grown into my father?!! :p
