Just back from seeing Despicable Me 3. I loves me some Gru.
Good Morning, I was just very curious after passing this thread several times in the New Post section and I had to see what is was all about. Very interesting title. It sure caught my eye. Well I hope you all have a wonderful day. By the way I am Carling.
We're home!....for a week
The desktop computer was giving me a lot of trouble this morning - never a dull moment.
I liked the park, but, you have to be part mountain goat to get around it. For most it is not a problem, but, with my less then perfect right leg... it was a challenge. It didn't seem like there was much for me to do since I am not a roller-coaster fan. The kiddie section was the only part that was really sad. They had, are you ready for this, Flying Elephants, a Tea cup ride and a mini-Raceway, that made the one in MK seem like a real race track. Lots of music, a lot of interaction with actual people (actors) and some nice scenery, but, oh, the climbing. I was there just before Christmas and the place was very well decorated at night. It was nice, but, Disney has spoiled me. I don't seem to have any desire to go back and it isn't all that far away from where I live. I guess I am pretty picky about my theme park experiences. Kings Dominion is even closer, and I have no desire to go there at all. All KD is to me is a landmark that I remember from my early days (in the 80's) along I-95. I do intend to go back to Pigeon Forge, but, only to go to the Titanic park to see if that one sinks as well.
If by "old charm" you mean dirty, then you are correct. After my visit to Dollywood, WDW looked like an operating room. I would guess that a lot of the appearance of dirty is due to coal burning full sized steam train that runs through the park. That thing coughs up soot and burning embers constantly. The place was a Silver Dollar Theme Park long before Dolly bought it. I'm sure it is nicer now then it was when they owned it, but, it left me unimpressed. Even the parking lot shuttles were, how to say this, different. An old International school bus with the sides cut out and some steps welded in along the side so you could get on and off. I swear Disney has thrown away better transportation then they kept.
I know that sounds negative, but, I don't mean it to be, it certainly is unique. I just want to describe my images. It was six years ago when I went to the park. Many things have changed since then, I'm sure.
I know... but it's where I store my photos so I'm geting a little impatient with it!desktop computer? What's that?

or just put a strip of duct tape over the horizontal line so you won't notice it...My main TV is the living room is broken. Well, it still works but there is a horizontal line near the top where the pixels are all out. Looks like I will need to invest in a new one as soon as we move. Upgrade!
First one is good. Second one bad. I've heard the new one is better than the second.I have never seen any of those movies all the way through. The kid has, however.

Well the title is at least interesting. If the thread doesn't have drama like the dreaded Facebook or other Social Media sites than it is right up my alley. I don't like FB or other sites like that.Yep. This is pretty much the most interesting thread on the entire internet...
No drama. A lot of nonsense and no real substance, but not drama.Well the title is at least interesting. If the thread doesn't have drama like the dreaded Facebook or other Social Media sites than it is right up my alley. I don't like FB or other sites like that.
You must have missed my in-depth review of three movies...no real substance

As Willy Wonka stated, " A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men."No drama. A lot of nonsense and no real substance, but not drama.
Are you not picking up on the hidden messages behind each of my posts? No drama. A lot of nonsense and no real substance, but not drama.
Sorry you see it as throwing a wet blanket on anything. I just said some of the things that I noticed, but, also was positive about other things. That's called balanced. It is my reaction to it, not yours or anyone elses. I didn't say, take my advice and don't go, I said that I, personally, was not impressed. If you enjoyed it, that's great. I didn't and I explained the reasons why. I am not affected in anyway by how Batman enjoyed his time there nor do I see where I said anything to take away from the good time that he had.Nice way to throw a wet blanket on Batman's report. He and millions of Americans, myself included, find it quite delightful and exceptionally clean with friendly staff.
Let's add the Minions movie to the mix, shall we?First one is good. Second one bad. I've heard the new one is better than the second.
