Water (in the distance) for @JenniferS. I had to go to a meeting today at one of the newly renovated buildings at Jones Beach. If I was not wearing heels I would have walked down closer to the water.

I have been called a Witch before and something that sounds close to that as well.
But I will not be bringing the cauldron and ladle to this party. It will be nice to meet you all. I am Carling and I am a Mom of a sweet little full of energy 2 year old and also the girlfriend of a sweet and full of energy boyfriend.

No hose - it's 85 today. Open toed heels.
It was a really far walk and the sand is insanely hot. The other thing was there were other work people at the meeting and I left first so the LAST thing I would want would be to be walking back up from the beach as they were leaving.
Besides - I live on an island. I'm 15 minutes from the beach and I have my choice - go North for rocky and calm or go South for sand and big waves. Walking down to the water - while always cool - isn't anything I can't just do on a whim.
