That's one thing I'm appreciating more and more as a grandmother. Raising kids was far simpler back when my kids were little. I still get nightmares about my first visit to Babies R Us as a grandmother-to-be.This is so funny and so true. My mother used to give us metal cooking pans with metal lids when we were toddlers, because she said that every little kid loved banging them together, and hearing all the fun noise!
Are you asking for a live trip report ... hmmmmmm?

Raisins are gross. So, more than 4 hours of shopping and chopping, simmering and stirring, slicing French bread and washing dishes, preparing pasta and washing more dishes, packing up leftovers and scrubbing my stove and washing even more dishes ... I had Raisin Bran.
That's okay. I don't judge.Raisins are gross.
Yeah... that's exactly what my childhood was missing...You just grew up in the wrong decade, that's all. Had you been a child of the 80's like me, you'd find raisins to be cool, soulful, and collectible.

Got home about 2 this morning, then heading back out tomorrow. It was nice sleeping in my own bed and showering in my own shower.![]()
My own bed > my own shower. *That is always a great feeling. We have a wonderful rain shower type of shower head with great water pressure at home and both hubs and I miss it while on vacation.
My own bed > my own shower. *
* - although both are good.
I'm hoping to replace our mattress sometime soon too and just save the one we have as a guest bed. We'll see ....I'm actually not a fan of my bed right now. It is too soft for me now, it is almost 9 years old. I would like a new one, hubby says it is fine and we don't need a new one. I am plotting to get a sleep number bed. He likes it soft, I like my mattress super firm.
Wait 'til he goes to basketball practice. That's when I bought our new bedroom suite; mattress as well.I'm actually not a fan of my bed right now. It is too soft for me now, it is almost 9 years old. Further proof that no good comes from exercise.
Our current bed is a king and no space in our guest room for a king. So we will have to get rid of it. Maybe I will try to sell it or give it away. I don't know who wants someone used mattress but someone probably will.
