Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
And now to catch up on Wednesday's Survivor double episode before the Jays take the field at 10:00.

Hubby (who we all know is named Mike, so I am going to quit bothering to try to remember to type "Hubby" every single time) has gone to his brother's to watch the Leafs, the boys are out of my hair, and there just might be a coconut cream pie AND a chocolate cream pie in the downstairs fridge.

I've got a feeling that tonight's going to be a good, good night. :joyfull:

A tiny sliver of coconut cream pie ... or a tiny sliver of chocolate cream pie ... or a minuscule sliver of each?

This just looks & feels so wrong. :( What do you guys think? Am I not being open-minded enough toward change? This just doesn't work for me as being Disneyland.

Talk about a target audience -- "tween-age" boys.

The vibe I get from watching the video, is that it comes across way more like a Universal type of commercial--I just don't see Disneyland in it at all.

But, I guess that's "their" point.

My mind sorta drifted away for a few minutes--was thinking about all the mega mergers in business over the past 20 years. I could almost envision a mega-merger of Disney and Universal. The direction that Disney is going lately, I could see this happening down the road. The lines between the two of them are becoming less concise, so they might as well lump them both together and create one. Can't you just see the marketing blitz for this? Such as, UniDis, or DisUni. I'll have to work on the new name a bit more. :banghead:

Well that confirms my opinion that skyboxes are for people to say they went to the game, but, in reality they went to a buffet with some type of activity that is not really visible to the human eye going on down below the clouds. You can't see the ball thrown, or hit, unless they are announcing you don't even know who is in the batters box. Why bother? I know for the food, eh!

To be fair, if you know the game, you can follow it.

In the back to back WS winning years, we use to pay for nosebleed seats in the outfield all the time. No food. No private washroom, nowhere near the home plate. I'm a fan. I want to be at the ballpark.

That being said, there are dozens of large screen tv's in the boxes, Buck and Pat are audible throughout, and the pictures I posted don't really set the scene.

Are Spring Training views better? Absolutely! But you're not seeing real MLB ball - you're watching a great big audition where the score doesn't really count.

Free box seats are free box seats. I will say "yes please", every single time. :)

I'm not a Marvel fan, but I did enjoy the Guardians movie and I'm looking forward to the next one. Tower of Terror is my favorite ride, but WDW's is the best version that I've ridden, so while I'm sad I won't be able to ride it at California Adventure in the new version the basic premise of dropping will be the same. So it should be okay. I also thought the new exterior looked horrendous in pictures I saw online, but when I saw it in person last week it didn't look that bad. The original Tower looked and was themed in a style I liked better but that is no more. But if Imagineering wants to change WDW's version, then I'll have a problem with that. I also think they should keep Marvel out of Disneyland, California Adventure is an okay place for it.

I didn't say that you shouldn't have taken advantage of the perk, what I'm saying is that I don't see what is so great about being so far above nosebleed level to not be able to see clearly what is going on. And resorting to watching it on big screen TV which you kinda could have done at home. It's not there to witness a sporting event, it is a social event. A cool one, I agree, but call it what it actually is. The seats you are talking about in the upper levels are where you went to watch a ballgame, these were not intended for that. Could you catch a glimpse of it?... I'm sure you could, but, it would not be the same. Better, but for different reasons.

You can't do "the wave" at home ... at least not with the drapes open.
