Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I made muffins last night. Son #1 popped by and had a few, as did Son #2. Poor Hubby just went to the fridge, knowing that I had wrapped up the remaining three muffins.

Sadly they disappeared overnight, so guess who gets to make more muffins? Hint - it's the same person who doesn't actually get to eat them.

He's so talented. Glad you had a great time!!

He really is. It was was fantastic.
Ah, my arch-nemesis. We meet again.

Who Dat?

I may not be the biggest football watcher but I will always root for the Saints.
@Eric1955 , thank you for sharing the wonderful pictures of your city. My jaw dropped when I saw that beautiful photo of the large riverboat--stunning!! :jawdrop: Enjoyed your commentary as well, as I've never been down there and liked your descriptions.

The food photos looked scrumptious!! :hungry: I actually chuckled when you listed the food from the stadium--I mean, you guys have REAL food down there at a sports stadium--not the standard, hot dogs, etc. Foodies rule! :joyfull:

I really miss living here. New Orleans will always be home.
In all fairness though, I never met a hot dog I didn't like. I even like the $1.50 carp from Costco. I like them so much, I eat them completely plain. Apparently the one thing you all put ketchup on - I don't.

Hot dogs and me do not mix. :hungover:

On a totally unrelated note, it turns out that today is not Sunday. I called my cousin to find out what time we were going open house hunting, and she replied, "Same time as usual". Then I mentioned that I'd best get cracking and hop in the shower. She said, "That's going to be a really long shower".

And here I was feeling guilty about not going to church.

The perils of the unemployed.

Actually schools were closed Thursday/Friday and I worked from home both days so I wasn't really sure what day today was either.

We're about to head back home. :(

Only disappointing part of the trip is that we weren't able to make it down to the Quarter. I haven't been in so long.
I used to go there for conferences a lot. They were usually at the Monteleone at the edge of the FQ. Once I stayed in the Garden District. But I've only been to New Orleans once since Katrina, which went through just a couple weeks after I signed up on this site.

Even though we're riding in the car I'm very tempted to cut into this king cake right now. It's my favorite kind, cream cheese from Hi-Do.

I forgot to post the pictures of the shirt I got.

This is the house my great-grandparents lived in. It looks completely different. The front porch has been closed in.

My second favorite tower in the city.

Goodbye New Orleans. :(
