That looks like Churchill. Who is it?
I think the plaque reads "Winston Churchill".
The smaller guy is Eric.
It is indeed the great Winston Churchill.

We wanted to do a dinner cruise once on a riverboat near Jackson Square. Maybe the Natchez. But they refused to sell any more tickets, saying it was too rainy and we'd be miserable. Then a couple of women got off the boat and gave us their tickets, including dinner and drink tickets, and wouldn't accept any money for them. We had a great time.Looking at the Mississippi River.

I always say I'm from New Orleans but technically I'm from the suburbs of New Orleans on the West Bank. If you're in New Orleans and you look across the river you're looking at the West Bank.

It was tough on my iPhone screen, that's for sure.
What do I know? All these old bronze statues look alike to me.I thought the victory sign gave it away, but I guess I should have said it was Winston.
It looks like an Aloft room. The iconic Walgeens on Canal.

Ha! I've only ever been in one once - and not even for the night; but it felt exactly the same.It is. Hyatt is closer to the arena, but it was booked.
I hope you really enjoy the concert. It is. Hyatt is closer to the arena, but it was booked.
Nice room. I'm digging that trolley artwork on the wall. I wonder who's face that is on the decorative pillows?

Have an awesome time tonight Eric!
The state of the old New Orleans World Trade Center really makes me sad. It's my favorite tower in NOLA and it's currently just being left to rot. You'd think TDO was in charge of it.

Harrah's where the old convention center was. It's a shame we lost that building.

Thanks, going to be heading there soon. Doors open at six. I've decided to just walk. It's about an 18 minute walk.
Were the buildings abandoned after Katrina?
Have an amazing time at the concert!!
