You know what's funny?
Higher ups in the Star Wars franchise are expected to meet soon to discuss the fate of Princess Leia. Insiders say there are supposed to be two major scenes taking place with the character over the next two films - although it's unknown which films those events take place in. The insiders also said Leia was supposed to be a bigger part of episode 9 than episode 8. Speculation has it she could even be written out of episode 8, with her scenes being refilmed, but there's nothing to back that up.
So sad that we'll never get to see her true story fully played out.
What if they recast her character?

You know, probably enough time has passed since the originals that it might just work. If she were still alive then it wouldn't be acceptable, I think, but, now that she has passed... I think it would be accepted. I mean they made sure that Harrison would be out of the picture for the future.What if they recast her character?
Let's face it. If you had given a new (or old fan) side by side pictures of the early Leia and the current one... no one would be able to guess that they were the same person. Carrie had a lot of miles on her.

It's possible. It depends on if they think Leia can be replaced by another actress. Carrie was great in the original films, but most of her performance in TFA wasn't spectacular IMO. It's a tricky thing to handle. Tough decisions, especially if she has a major role in the next two films. It might alter the entire story, making a write-off pretty difficult.What if they recast her character?

I think there would be a massive disturbance in the Force with that. From all I've read on SW sites a major majority of fans would rather her character be killed off than replaced by another actress. She does a have a major role in SW9 so it'll be interesting in where they go with it. Sad to say if only Kylo had killed his mama instead of dad in TFA....What if they recast her character?
Killing off the character is hard to do when the actress isn't there for it. I'm not saying I'm against it, but I really don't hope it's a cheesy or glossed over event.
Also, I don't think anybody predicted Carrie passing before Harrison. With his health issues lately, it made sense why he was written off.

That's because you have kept up with her over the years. However, I would bet if without anything to suggest or hint, you would have just seen the recent picture you wouldn't have had a clue about who she was. If someone said Star Wars it might jog a memory or two. I see no resemblance at all in those pictures and I was aware of her through the years. My Grandson went to TFA with me. He had seen all the originals and the sequels fairly recently. He didn't even have a clue that she was the original Leia. He did know and recognize Harrison Ford, but, not her.

I was going to say that too. The pictures are wonderful, but when you see them in person, it's just so spectacular.

Nice pictures! I'm glad you tried and enjoyed the citrus swirl. I can understand your preference for the dole whip. And sometimes the a swirl is hit and miss depending how much vanilla to orange you get but the whip is always spot on.
They could always pull some kind of miracle "Han really didn't die" kind of thing - just like they did with Luke after he lost his arm!

I thought about it and I thought about it some more. On Thursday and Friday unkadug and I had a handful of PMs about my posting daily funny pics here and he was all for it. Going back and reading those PMs today still gives me shivers. I've decided that I will post them although most days won't be a "wake up".
