I used to like it when my kids were little and all their friends came here to hang out. I felt comfortable being able to keep my eye on them.
Now I wish they'd all go crash somewhere else. They're bigger. Noisier. Messier. And eat waaaay more food.

Very pretty. I always think this is what the crossover to Heaven may look like. (More pink and purple than orange for my crossover though.)

I love, love, love that movie. How the West Was Won is another favorite of mine.

Growing up, my mom always told that Elizabeth Taylor was a wicked woman ... because she stole Eddie Fisher from Debbie Reynolds.
As an adult, I now know that you can't steal someone who isn't willing to be taken.

One of the highlights of our Christmas in Maryland was going to the Air and Space Museum with the whole family. We hadn't been with the kids since they were, well, kids, so it was great to go back there with them as adults (ish). The place was mobbed since it was the day after Christmas and a holiday for most of the country, but it was still pretty neat to do. Here's a few photos:

Ironically enough, our short little flight home last night was delayed due to "mechanical issues" which kind of made me appreciate all we had seen there even more.
Anyway, we did get to see the National Christmas Tree lit up on our way home from the museum, which was pretty neat. Despite all the politics, Washington DC is really a humbling place to visit - a must-do for anyone!

We liked the movie, not what happened to everyone. I suppose it was better that we heard after the movie instead of before - it would have definitely changed the dynamics of the ending had we known...
