Yup, in just another way to make aging wonderful, I had the same problem with the eye that I had surgery on for cataracts. Started about a month ago now. White flashes in my eye and things floating around sometimes affecting my vision. Turns out, as they explained it to me, the back of ones eye is coated with this gel type substance. It is where the lens focuses on the back of the eye and sends the signal to the brain. Now the fun part. One of the things that so wonderfully happen is pieces of the gel loosen up and and separate from the back of the eye. The optic nerve trying to figure out what it is that it is seeing alters the image to a flash of light. Later it settles down and then you are left with stuff floating around in there. They have yet to tell me that eventually it goes away. They have said that eventually the brain will just ignore it and it will no longer be a problem. It's been over a month now and I don't see any improvement in that part. No more flashing white light though so I got that going for me.Spots and flashes can be an eye condition, and unrelated to your cold. Tingling on your left side doesn't sound good either. Sounds like you may need some additional rest, at minimum. I hope you're feeling better within the next few days.
