Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Ha! That reminds me of the time here on our street, when a truck drove down the street and snapped an overhead electrical wire that connected across the street, to the house. (In fairness to the driver, the line was sort of sagging, and probably should have been replaced a long time ago.) Anyway, we called the electric company and told them to send out someone to fix the fallen wire in the road. Hours went by--no electric truck.

So the landlord called the cops and told them that there were children playing on the street not far from a "live" electrical wire down in the road, and the electric company had not come to fix it. Within 10 minutes, two electric trucks came, followed by a police cruiser directly behind them . . . (But here's the best part--there never were any kids playing on the street!) :D :D
I'll have to keep that one on my list of solutions.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Nissan just sent me a personal email begging me to trade my car in for a new one. Their used lot is empty, and they are so desperate for inventory that they will make me a deal I can't refuse.

Before you scoff, that's actually how I ended up trading in my '11 for a '13. They waived my over-mileage, and I upgraded to leather seats, Sat/Nav, back-up camera, heated steering wheel, and Bose for just a few extra bucks/month.
