I use to go to my Grandmothers and pull out stacks of the SEP just to look at the cover art.One room in the museum played a short film about Rockwell and displayed all the covers he had done for the Saturday Evening Post (3 walls full!). It was pretty neat to see the changes over the years.

did you get anything in the gift shop?Our next stop was his studio. The walkway out there was lined with whimsical works of art with the theme of carriages. I believe they were done by local artisans: Here's a few:

Did you also visit the Red Lion Inn while out there? It's very pleasant inside, and they have a lovely restaurant. Had lunch there once, while in the area, visiting the museum.
I also loved Rockwell's artwork. His paintings were captivating. It was also surprising to me that his work covered many topics, from the familiar multi-generational family gathered around the Thanksgiving Day table, to the civil rights movement. And I also appreciated his "slice of life" paintings such as the one below titled, "The Lineman" as just one example here.
