Flying water bottle? John Tortorella was at MK?
Someone a few ships ahead chucked a water bottle out during the scene in the bedroom. As we were entering the scene the operator made an announcement about keep loose articles in the car and there was a water bottle in the bed when we passed through.

Very nice pictures. I don't know if I'm a big fan of the new design of the hub. I am pretty upset about the lack of seating/benches. That was one of my favorite things to do was sit on a bench in the hub at any time of day and just relax. It just seems so barren and desolate without some benches.

Wow, I know I have not seen the past four episodes of Survivor, and despite "knowing" who the final three were ... I so did not see that coming.

I am not happy with this jury. I have recently got a newfound respect for the social game, but with no notable strategic moves, I can't respect that person as the winner. Especially with who was sitting next to her.

I was delayed so I let everyone go back ahead of me. My friends were only around for 4 days at WDW so we wanted them to have time for Tommorowland. I decided to head for Splash when I got there before meeting up with everyone.

The wait was only 15 minutes and it gave me a chance to ride the train as well. They already did Space, Astro, and Stitch (Oh I missed Stitch, darnit Thank you God!) so I only got to do TTA and Buzz before it was time to find a fireworks spot. They weren't parade people.

Is it just me or is Astro a bit too dark looking?

I already posted the fireworks pictures but I still don't know I got this shot. I pretty much rested my phone against my chin and kept hitting the snap button without looking so I could enjoy the show with my own eyes.

After we gave our friends a choice: CoP and a space reride or rerides of Splash and BTMR. They chose to go to Frontierland.

We didn't notice an 11pm parade on the schedule. So our friends got to see the parade after all! They were so overjoyed that they couldn't handle it and left for the bus.

Meanwhile I lined up this shot perfectly and waited for all the letters to light up.

Fail.

Then came the longest queue: The line for the Pop bus. This attraction is so hot that a lady collapsed in anticipation (or dehydration) while waiting.

Despite the heat, this was actually the first relaxing MK visit I've had in a while. It was busy, but not insane like previous years where I felt I was in a nonstop cattle herd everywhere I went. You could actually stop and look around without a stroller slamming into you. I'm not a fan of the new hub and attractions, but my love of the park has been renewed.

Mornin' everyone. :) Just got back from WDW last night. @acishere , your pictures are great! You did a really nice job with them. (I take lousey pictures with a disposable camera, so I probably won't post any--besides it takes about a week for the camera shop to get them developed on to a cd. )

So, I went from Sunday through yesterday. It was crowded (particularly in the MK as usual), but not as bad as the past few years. I think that since they got rid of Star Wars Weekends, that helped to trim the crowds.

Now, keeping in mind that I aimlessly float around from park to park, I visit attractions at very random times throughout the day. I can also use the single lines at the major ones. The only planning I did was to go to the EMH at AK (8:00 AM opening) on Monday. Smart move--Kilimanjaro Safari and Everest were visited well before 9:00 AM. Then I enjoyed some of the other attractions for a few hours, including Festival of the Lion King--love that show!

Here's a sample of my "wait" times (again, randomly during the days) --

Space - 20 min
Everest -- walk on
Kil. Safari -- walk on
BTRR -- 10 min
T Track -- 10 min
G Movie Ride -- 25
H Mansion -- 35
RNR Coaster -- 10 min.
TOT -- 15 min

I'll share more trip highlights over the next few days.

Thank you. I need one of those! (Actually hubby has one, but it's a very expensive camera and I don't want to worry about losing it on a vacation. Eventually, I'll find a cheap one out there someplace.)
The prices have come down considerably. For what you probably paid for a disposable camera + developing for 2 trips, you can get a decent digital camera now. Just don't take it swimming.

Good points! Speaking of swimming, gotta mention here that I saw a crazy rain storm the other night. It lasted for a few hours, and I've never seen so many lightning strikes over such a long period of time. Rain came down like a monsoon (luckily, I was in my hotel room at the Swan--I saw it coming ahead of time and exited a park early). With the wind and all, I thought I was watching a hurricane.

Weather reports the next morning said that they got over 4 inches of rain. They even had one small twister in central FL. :jawdrop:

That must be the same one that dumped over a foot of rain in Vero Beach.

Hey!! I owe you a big shout-out for your great tip for lunch!!! Yes, I went to the Tune In Lounge (in 50s Prime Time) on Tuesday morning, around 11:10 AM. As you suggested, I went directly to the bar and got a seat (bar about half full at that early time). Bartender was very pleasant. So I ordered the "sampler" (same as you!) and it was delicious!! I didn't order any exotic cocktail (just too early for me), but I did have a nice chilled glass of white Zinfandel (don't recall the brand). Anyway, I really liked it there and people around me were friendly.

The one odd thing was that while people were waiting in the bar area (standing or sitting on the chairs), this one woman with a 2-year old daughter, decides to place the toddler on a bar seat while they were waiting??!!! So the bartender immediately asks her (politely) to take the toddler away from the bar. She gives him this dirty "look" --- um, really??!! What's the matter with people? The bartender told her there were seats available (directly behind her . . .). But, what bothered me was the complete lack of respect that she had for him--he's a bartender and seats at the bar should be filled with people paying for beverages. This is his livelihood.

I've usually had great luck splitting everyone up and using the single rider line. This year though everyone seemed to show up to RnRC and Harry Potter FJ in perfect even numbers. The main lines were flying right by while single wasn't moving.

We had that (minus the tornado) on our Epcot day. Massive amount in a short day. Full day of pretty steady rain a few days later. Then a couple days later the weatherman is talking like there is a water crisis and rain will be needed soon.
