Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

There have been bulldozers outside my window all day...they are clearing land in an area right next to my neighborhood. But listening to the screeching of their tracks all day long....:banghead:
Land clearing is music to my ears.

If the land for my upcoming site had been cleared when it was supposed to have been, I'd have opened and closed already. :(

So its been getting a little tight around the John house, I don't have any staff so I cant cut their hours. Other then resorting to cutting my grass every other week ( no matter what the neighbors think ) I cant see any other cost cutting moves I can make. Soooooooo because I have a particularly long drive way I decided to have VIP parking for my guest. $15.00! Also When my family visits from Florida I am going to charge them a $15.00 a night resort fee. Just to make ends meet I have decided to hold a After hours event at the house, $150 for four hours ( yep a bargain! ) Free bottles of water and all the ice cream sandwiches you can eat. I will fire up the hibachi and for $8.00 hot dogs will be available. I figured with all the money I will make I then could afford a trip to WDW......

Well said.

I'm hoping this backfires. I'm hoping it inspires people to stay off-site and go to Magic Kingdom one night and bang out all the rides they can and then spend their remaining vacation days at Uni, Sea World, Kennedy Space Center, etc. But it won't. Ya know why? Because Disney's best kept secret was actually their diabolical plan to lock people into staying on-site for the next 40 years and convincing a large portion of the population that nowhere else is worth their vacation dollars.

Aaaaand we're back. Puppy and Owner are both doing fine.

Yup, it's a tapeworm. Her weight is down .55 kg (1.2 lbs), or 15% of her weight. Not good considering she was already super-skinny and has been eating 50/50 adult/puppy food for 2 months.

A rudimentary vision test revealed that she probably sees no more than shadows at this point. :(

On the plus side, none of her teeth actually appear to be broken, thus requiring extraction. She does however, have extreme tartar and plaque, which is common to her breed. She goes in for dental cleaning surgery on 4/7, and going forward, this will need to be done once/year. Due to her age, it is going to cost nearly twice what it did four years ago.

Other than that, she is extremely healthy, very agile for her age, the "bravest little dog" the vet has ever seen, and "a right fine old lady".

I should be so lucky at her age.

Perhaps I missed it, but how old is she (in human years) ?

My dog just went to the groomer's yesterday, and the groomer said she noticed a hazy/filmy look on her eyes. She said this is normal when dogs get older and start to lose their eyesight. My dog will be 12 in October.

She's 13 1/2 people years - about 70 in doggy years.

She can still chase a squirrel across the yard, catch it if she's so inclined; run circles around these cats; outrun every single person in this house; stand on her hind legs and dance for more than a minute - all without the benefit of any significant vision.

She's only lost one tooth to decay at this point.

Essentially, she's the Helen Mirren of Cockapoo-dom.
