Didn't post much last night as I had my feelings genuinely hurt, my spirit somewhat crushed, by the A-holes who should be worshipping me.
Didn't want to talk about it, as I know where you all stand; and you've all got to be weary of my stories.

Today I was busy with my SIL/BFF.
We went and looked at a few realtor open houses; went to the butcher's, the farmer's market, and the grocery store; prepped everything for a lovely BBQ dinner; finished the guest/spare room; and changed the colour of her MagicBand from pink to orange.

It was lovely spending time with someone who genuinely loves and appreciates me.
My dad was always my biggest fan (God I miss him), then Hubby, then my mom, then two of my three brothers, then SIL.

Notice the two names not on that list?
yeah, sounds like yours sons are a riot to be with. :|
you have really the patience of an angel to have to deal with so much and get no help back or positive feedback.

------------One plus about staying home and watching from the deck is I got three ceramic santas painted, two of which are getting an antique look today, and he third is ready for top coat. Woohoo! Seven days and counting until my open house, I still doubt I'll be ready, but I'm getting there... Slowly!----

@Soarin' Over Pgh I copied part of your message ABOVE, and replied below. (I still can't figure out how to properly use the quote thingie--your quote is supposed to be in a beige background, but that didn't happen.) Anyway, I responded below--

Hey--what's this about an "open house"? Are we all invited?! ;) :joyfull: :p :D

Yes you are right. We had a lovely long Christmas vacation one year and that area was quite a memory maker.
By day it was still the full Backlot tour and by night the homes were the area of the Osborne Lights that moved through the NY Street and pretty much ended outside the Steamroller area with a nativity scene near the courtyard. It was nice that there was a gentle reminder of what Christmas was really about in the middle of all the magic of WDW.

My DS was only a toddler when he went through Catastrophe Cannon and already had this enormous fear of any form of fire so it was also filled with that learning curve for parents as it was a brand new park for us too and no forums to research and the tour books just outlined what was to be attractions vaguely. Good times back there on the lot.

When we rode the Backlot Tour, 'cause we knew it would go soon Walt's plane had 'Cars' eyeballs pasted on the front of the plane. I'm not sure why I took exception with that but it did rub me the wrong way. We took one last walk through the prop room too and the after museum. Way back the Backlot also had a show to demonstrate inside a warehouse how they used illusion in filming. We have pictures of my DH riding a bike on set during the show and my DS riding the bumble bee also during the show. Pretty much any connection to the park being a Studio is gone now and I'll miss that theming.

man, I really wish I could have lived that! :(

Watching Craig Ferguson on his debut of his new game show Celebrity Name Game. Not bad, lots of explaining when new show is intro'd. Still seems way beneath him and step backwards. But if it turns to a hit like Wheel of Fortune it could be a great decision.

Guess he even fought wearing a suit. Courtney and her ex David Arquette are the executive producers and plan on jumping in and being on camera. This should be interesting. He is shooting 180 shows in 3 months. Wonder if it will last that long but he is bringing in some stars to help him along Sheryl Crow, Vivica A. Fox, Billy Gardell, Lisa Kudrow, Darren Criss, Peter Facinelli, Tony Hale and Mena Suvari.

@Soarin' Over Pgh Open House too. Open House here has multiple meanings so I was curious too but with all the skimm'n of posts I've been doing this week I was afraid I had missed something.

So yeah, whatcha doing?

Yes!! I'd be tickled pink if you showed up at my open house!

And in my context, my one house means literally that... I'm opening my house to friends and family to see my crafts and buy if they're interested. I'm having cookies and tea, coffee, and hot chocolate (because why not, right?) and I'm so excited! I've never had one before and I've been cleaning like a madwoman the whole weekend.

I'll post some new Santa photos later, after I get home...today is job interview day. I had a fantastic one his morning (pretty sure the job is mine) and another this afternoon, both with well respected, huge companies...hope one of them pans out!

That supported quote doesn't work for me. The box drops to low to finish the process and can't reach the bottom to finish the process and it won't allow me to drag the whole box higher. I blame Chrome.

Yeah, some of yesteryear WDW was so amazing. I never found AK to be that way as Disney was already fudging with stuff by then.

Good luck with the interviews! Sending good Karma.

Wow what a good idea for your crafts. I think we shall call it Your first 'Art Opening.' :D

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
ahem, the

the after credit scene is
howard the duck and Cosmo in the collectors
Yeah, it was weeks ago. I'm old. Get over it.

ETA - I added an iOS 8 smilie, but it didn't show up. Without it, my answer seems terse; which of course it was not.
So ... pretend there's a big old winkie smilie there.

Fingers crossed for you on the job front.

When a little more time has passed, we really want some more deets on the last new job debacle!

So I just had a really big, "No duh" moment. I have this project for my IT class on Big Data, which is essentially collecting and storing consumer information by large companies. We needed examples of companies that were implementing Big Data. Then it suddenly occurred to me that what Disney is doing with MyMagic+ is Big Data and would fit right in with my project. Why it didn't occur to me, ya know, last week when we were starting the project, is beyond me.
