Just a vent from a Cranky Old Lady (COL) - ignore if you want...

As you probably know, I'm one of seven kids. 3 of my brothers live about 30 miles from here, and the fourth lives in FL in the winter, PA in the summer. One sister lives in FL and the other lives about 120 miles away in NH. Mom has been here with us for 6 1/2 weeks now - guess who's the only sibling to visit her? yes, the one sister 120 miles away .
The first weekend that she was here we hosted (better known as "fed") a cookout for them all and mentioned to them all that she really likes to have company, and that at her age she won't be with us for much longer. Apparently they feel that since she doesn't remember anything from one minute to the next, it doesn't matter whether they visit her or not. Therefore in the past 6 weeks, no visits, no phone calls, nothing! She asks about them often, and frankly I'm tired of making excuses for them.

end of rant, now back to our regularly scheduled program...

{{{Hugs}}} for you and Mom.

You know the Magic Kingdom is going to be busy when they extend the hours when the park was just open an hour.
Lots and lots of hot and sticky peeps.
Looking at the wait times app, it doesn't seem that bad at MK. Longest wait that I can see (Snow White and Little Mermaid aren't showing up) is 45 minutes.

It is partially the age. Muppets was never on. Looney Toons was on Saturday mornings, but I just didn't care for them. If I knew Tom and Jerry would be on, I'd watch until Tom and Jerry, but if not, I'd turn on a movie.
meh, I really preferred Animaniacs and tiny toons myself heh.
ohh..and other cartoons of the 80's and 90's (like biker mice from mars, samurai pizza cats...etc..)

That's funny.
I interpreted @MOXOMUMD's comment to mean that she liked almonds, and therefor picked them out to eat them all. If that's the case, then you two could easily share a bag.

If I misread that and she also hates almonds, well then, dagnabit, you two are out of luck, and I will just have to eat the whole bag myself.
I dont mind almonds myself, but I honestly prefer other seeds.
not a fan of almonds either - I let DH have mine. All other nuts are fair game though.
Noone likes the seeds of other plants like pumpkin? they sell a lot of dried seeds of pumpkin.
also walnuts :>

Animaniacs was just awesome. I don't think kid shows can get away with half the in-jokes and references they did anymore.
I blame the current generation of "BUT THINK OF THE CHILDREN!" as excuse to block anything they dislike. All while they let their children rot by himself/herself alone, going into drugs, illegal activities and watch the most violent tv shows ever.
Then they blame "he was so sweet, he couldn't have done that!" when he goes full postal in some random school after suffering severe bullying and was ignored by their parents.
