And I got a call saying that the dog next door bit the little Busey dog. So my lunch break is going to be driving my mom and the dog to the vet.

Whaaaaaaat? I'd be signing Busey up for a kennel vacation, ASAP.

I've only been to Quebec City, and it was covered in deep snow when I was there.

I don't understand why you don't let them go ahead and do it. Then the Eastern Provinces could become part of the states (new flags all around) and all of Ontario west would be Canada, except less expensive. Or you could become part of the states as well, as long as we are making new flags anyway, and then you could easily just drive around Quebec. As an added bonus you wouldn't have to learn French or at least Quebec French.

My opinion means jack to them. I'm just being roped into this because my mom watches mine when I am away and this was her decision to watch the dog.

If I told the owner to put him in a kennel I'd be called a hypocrite for never doing the same with my dog. My dog just knows how to behave.

And therein lies the difference. I have a small dog that people fight over when we go away. If nobody wanted her, and I couldn't sweeten the pot ($$), then sadly, she would have to go to a boarder's, just like my old dog 20+ years ago.

I've always thought it would be a lot easier if we had Daylight Saving month, where we just lost 2 minutes per day for 30 days... All the auto-adjusting clocks would take care of it all for us anyway.

And then when hubby and the kids start crabbing about where's my such and such?, I tell them, "Here's Diane's number - feel free to call and ask".
The crabbing stops pretty quickly. They're all afraid of her; which is hysterical because she is terrified of me, and as y'all already know, I am one of the nicest people on these boards. (So says @George)
