"I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" is horrid but "Santa Baby" is worse.

I heard the Bruce Springsteen "Sant Claus is Coming To Town" in the car today. Woot!

Not that anyone else knew it was down or cares that it now won't be, but it is supposed to be 89 degrees tomorrow and...

TYPHOON LAGOON IS RE-OPENING!!!!!!!!!

So, Typhoon Lagoon, Mall at Millenia, a little laundry. Next day, clean, lunch with a friend, packing and leaving town. So much to do that Typhoon has to come first. :)

The Springsteen version is my favorite Christmas song.

I always assumed Mommy was kissing the dad who was dressed as Santa... So I never thought it was that bad. It's nowhere near as bad as "Baby It's Cold Outside." The women in that song needs to mace the guy and get the heck out of there.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Funny you should mention that. That song was mentioned on the news tonight as promoting sexual assault and apparently insinuates that the guy slipped something into her drink.

I guess I'm going to have to YouTube it and actually listen to the lyrics.

You are correct. That along with Hippo, Two front teeth, kissing Santa, Rudolph, Frosty the snowman were all songs from my childhood. They were innocent childrens songs, so if you don't like them, well, you shouldn't they weren't written for grown ups.

OMG...has society gone to such a low level that they think that is what is happening here. I give up... there is no hope for our world. When you listen to it, put yourself in the 1930's a much more innocent and moral time then now. However, sex did exist and it was usually consensual. What you will find is that he was begging much more then forcing. Big difference.

From Wikipedia (so not to be taken seriously):
There is also the line "Hey, what's in this drink", which with current interpretation could be taken to sound suspiciously like the "mouse" has been drugged.[5][6][7] However, when the song was written it referred to someone behaving in a different manner than they expected and blaming it on the alcohol.[8]

So today is my daughters 10th birthday. I had 7 girls running around outside in sweatshirts. Who would have thought THAT would ever happen on 12/21 in NY!!

And I can pretty much guarantee a mild winter...my husband framed out the ice rink today.

People here were in t-shirts, tank tops...one boy about 12 was playing soccer shirtless. Tomorrow is forecast to be even warmer but cloudy and wet.

Instead of going back and finding things to quote, I will just make one post here.

1) To all of you who are experiencing warm weather...

2) @NYwdwfan, happy birthday to your daughter! It's my brother's 21st birthday tomorrow.

3) Update on PUSH below...

First guest arrived around 2:15, and not everyone was gone until about 8:45. We all ate, then opened presents, then stuck around a bit more. A few people bailed, then that led to a couple more bailing. Then three more bailed and it was down to my family, and my aunt, uncle, and 2 cousins. I don't know how it was decided, but somehow my dad, uncle, cousin, and I ended up going to see Anchorman 2. My review: it was stupid. There were pieces that were funny, and I was amazed by all of the celebrity appearances, but it was overall stupid, and I don't recommend it.

I actually heard Wikipedia is right more often than the Encyclopæeia Brittanica.

But I may have read that on Wikipedia, so take it for what you will. <shrug>
I think Wikipedia is a good source, but just gets a bad rep because anyone can change it. It is usually pretty easier to tell if it is right or wrong (unless it's like statistics). However, I don't use Wikipedia for anything more than casual internet searches.
