I prefer to think of it as common sense. There's so much to do and see here - Disney is a very minuscule part. And quite frankly, I just don't like the direction they're heading. We were here in FL for 6 weeks this winter, and actually only did the parks one day, and we're fine with that.

I'm psyched to do more state parks this week too. DH got a year's pass for his birthday, so we plan to do a lot of exploring this week. Good weather for canoeing.

Nope! Plenty to do in central Florida that isn't Disney-related. Three of the seven big parks don't even belong to Disney.

I've always wanted to go to UNI (been there twice probably 5 or 6ish years ago) since the addition of HP, but we have such a limited time down there with only 5 park days. Same with Sea World, but not as much.

Sea World is awesome. we took advantage of the very low price for AP's last fall, so we often go in, ride Manta, and maybe do a show or something, then leave before it gets too crowded. Their Christmas decorations were fantastic.

I went to Sea World once years ago, and I liked it, but the Sea theme isn't really my thing. I'm partial to Disney. I think a lot of it is nostalgia.

If I could have it my way I'd go to Florida for two or three weeks and do quite a bit of Disney, some Sea World, some UNI, and then some non-park things. Maybe go to the beach, and other things.
