The Nationals' official mascot is a bird named Screech, but the Racing Presidents are better known. For some reason one of the five ex-Presidents depicted on Mt. Rushmore got left out of the races...

So I bought a new thermal curtain for our bedroom window yesterday since it was cheaper than having the old one dry-cleaned, but I didn't put it up then because it was relatively warm the past 2 days. DH decided he'd do me a favor and put it up today while I watched the parade. It came all folded up in a package, so naturally it's full of creases, but he hung it up that way anyway. The rest of the story involves me taking the curtain down, ironing, and rehanging.He's such a help sometimes....

Lunch at the Conflict Kitchen. Yum! Wasn't sure if I'd like Cuban, but it turns out...I do! Next month they're changing to North Korea....I hate to admit it, but I'm pretty excited.
