I went to the Yankees victory parade after that Series where they beat the Phillies. It was a stressful, fun, annoying experience. You could barely move and I had to prop myself up between 2 columns to actually see. But it was totally worth it as one of those things you do once in your lifetime.

Also helped that the people next to us were on the phone with people watching at home and clued us in on which float was the last so we knew to start working our way out of the crowd before everyone else started shoving their way out.

I went to the Mets victory parade in 1986. My dad took me to his office and we went to the parade from there. I was in 7th grade and it felt so cool to ditch school to go to the parade. I wore my Lenny Dykstra jersey to school the next day. Little did I know my idol would go broke and end up in jail for grand theft auto.

true, but I love Boston.
I like it there too. I used to go there all the time when my X was attending UMass, in the mid-90's. She had an apartment there overlooking the Kennedy Library in Dorchester. I haven't been there since the overhead highway was replaced with the underground highway. To be honest, that underground thing gives me ponder. I have seen the drivers in Boston and frankly, I fear getting caught in the middle of that thing. I used to take the "T" to the Faneuil Hall area about every other Saturday. Living in North Carolina now...it's a little more involved. :)

Today is wild and crazy girls day out. My BFF from work and I are...errr. Going to the museums (Carnegie museum of natural history and art, Andy Warhol museum, prob the Carnegie science center too.... I have memberships to all. Don't discount my level of geekdom) and probably having lunch at Conflict Kitchen.

Wow. So exciting, right? If only you knew how pumped I am.... We don't need bars or clubs or lap dances (but I mean, if one was offered...) to partay.

Look out Pittsburgh, here we come!

Sounds like a wild and crazy time! Speaking of which, a couple friends of mine are planning to meet you at the museum. I figured you wouldn't mind.
