It finally got to the 70s here today! Makes me crave a Disney vacation. A ride on the TTA, perhaps?

Anyway, it's supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow, and the 80s on Tuesday! Then Wednesday it's back down to the 50s, but I won't be here for that, I'll be in 60 degree weather. Oh how I love warm weather! :D

Grr to all of you enjoying the warm weather! It's only supposed to be in the 50's tomorrow and 60's the rest of the week. Oh well, we did have nice weather in early March. Typical Baltimore to have a 90 degree day and then have it drop back into the 50's.

I was having 30 and 40 degree weather when you were having 60 and 70 degree weather!

And I think WI has you beat with weird temp changes. A week or so ago we had a 30 degree morning with snow, a 50 degree temp around noon, and then upper 60s with thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening.

Lol, that and I went to Disney in January where it was 80. I guess it's fair trade, except it's just supposed to rain for the next couple of days. And that is why I will never live in Wisconsin. Usually by this time of year it's starting to hit 70 and 80, and right now it's just terrible weather.

I bet that winter was harsh. Lots of snow, wasn't there?
Yes, winters are rough in Orlando. All those wet pant legs after getting the mail, the bitter cold winds forcing you to turn your head to gasp in some air...and the back-breaking work of snow shoveling. It's very tough, but it builds character.

Summers, though are so lovely. Not too hot and rarely humid.

I actually spent a nice chunk of winter up north, so I was treated to the whole Winter Wonderland again. Ugh.

Any time I get sick of the hot, humid, rainy summers, I remember the cold, icy, snowy winters...and it's all good. :)

Rather deal with Orlando summers than that. :)

You should move here. Nemo, too. We can all ride Manta, watch the penguins and have lunch every Wednesday. ;) :)

By the way, the 90 degree day was 2 weeks after the snow. I think Florida has some bizarre weather too. It's raining in one spot and then 20 ft away it's not.

And now, since this thread has gone all day without an update:

Things you didn't know about Thomas Edison:
1. He hated sleep, training his body to function on only 4 or 5 hours a night and taking mini naps when he felt tired during the day.
2. He once saved a young boy from getting hit by a train. At age 14, he and a friend were hanging around the railroad tracks when they saw the young boy. His father turned out to be the telegraph operator for the line and trained Edison in the operation of the machine.
3. He married his wife two weeks after meeting her. It wasn't a particularly good marriage.
4. He nicknamed his two kids from his first marriage "Dot" and "Dash" for the two Morse code symbols. Their real names were William and Thomas Jr.
5. He didn't let his kids use his last name when opening a business
6. He gave a 150 question test when hiring which was tailored to the individual applicant. Only 35 men out of 500 passed.
7. He had no patience for inferior intellect.
8. He quite literally liked to watch cat fights in his spare time. Working with a trainer, he put boxing gloves on them and had them go at it. Needless to say, I was very disturbed by this. Also trying to wrap my brain around how he did it exactly. He also filmed them, along with his assistant sneezing, sexy women dancing, and cockfights.
9. He had a mysterious tattoo composed of five dots. Why is anyone's guess.
10. He invented the predecessor to the modern tattoo gun.
11. After his first wife died, he didn't stay off the market long, marrying a much younger woman. This was a better marriage.
12. He proposed to his second wife using Morse code on her arm. The two also used to use it to communicate in secret in front of her parents.
13. He executed an elephant (who had killed three men, one of whom had abused her) as a publicity stunt.
14. He had diabetes before the disease was widely understood.
15. He got caught up in a fad diet, drinking only milk, which killed him from diabetic complications.

And there you go. Hey @unkadug, now you have something to read, lol

It's so beautiful out. Until tomorrow when it's upper 40s. I spent today in Chicago and visited Soldier Field (wearing Packer apparel of course, didn't want to be seen as a Bears fan). I learned that they have a terrible stadium, but it was still fun. Got to go into the visitor's locker room and I got to sit/stand in front of the locker Aaron Rodgers uses. Got to see the showers/offices/x-ray room/toilets the visiting teams use. This was fun for me because I think of all the Packers that have been in those rooms.

Then we went up to one of the club suites, but the one we were supposed to go into was being used. So guess what? We got to go to the owner's suite instead! It was nothing special. Nothing fancy, just a decent view.

The stadium is a nice tribute to our current soldiers and veterans, though, and I respect that despite my hate for the place.

Oh, and a fun fact: Soldier Field has the lowest seating capacity in the NFL. I was very surprised.

So that was my day for the most part. :)
