Another song that would play every day was "Girl on Fire" by Alicia Keys. That was a fun one, though. At my friend's place one night, we had a karaoke session with that song. :D

In my accounting class senior year, the teacher (my mom....) would play the radio during work time, and this song would always play.

Be glad you wern't in my CIS 101 class...every Friday I'd try and leave them with something fun to end the class.

Week 3, which was about Operating Systems, I'd play this...

Good point. For some reason I can stand in a line if it's moving - even at a snail's pace - since I feel like I'm "making progress" but I can't just sit still.
I don't think many can, and "interactive queues", while a great idea, work for parents, but not adults.

Because kids get enamored with the friggin queue!

I give up when we go into the Winnie the Pooh queue anymore. The kid would rather play with all the doo-dads there, than do the ride itself. People are shocked when I wave them on. Sure, go ahead, pass us...she's having fun, and through her I am too...if she wants to play here doing tug of war with robot gophers for a half hour, what do I care? Heck, I join in!

Far different than say the Haunted Mansion queue (as it is currently, as a separate interactive queue it was ok, but integrated...now the line pushes you past it)...

Oh, rhubarb.

I completely agree. "Girl on Fire" is a horribly written song, and it probably has some of the worst lyrics I've seen in a popular song in recent years. But I like the beat and vocals, and it kind of became our joke song.
I like Todd, his reviews are awesome. Check out Rap Critic there as well...he's friggin brilliant. For example...

Nice beat, but he's 100% on point (the Rap Critic), I think...

I wouldn't recognize any rap songs; I find most rap to be awful. Beat-wise at least... I just can't listen to it.
I grew up in the golden age of it (god, that sounds terrible, considering even then for the most part it was the worst of the worst), but musically, there were several artists who where amazing (Snoop being one of them, though he never changed his style after Dre...well, until he became "Snoop Lion" last year or so)...

You have to put it into context, regarding the beat. This song is popular because it's a good play off of a more intense song. For a DJ it's a "low energy song" to play after a high energy one. Meaning...it's no different than "Wait till you see my Richard" (figure it out)...in a club.

Same style beat, same reason.

I find that the rap songs I do like have some form of traditional singing during it, like the chorus or something.

Most popular rap songs have a chorus. They are just percussion based. It's like the drum corps without the rest of the band.
Yes, but I like the ones that have singing during the chorus. Maybe it's just because I can't keep up to a lot of rap lyrically. And I like to be able to keep up to something. :p

This is why southern Rap won out over the rest though during that era (the friggin 90s...)

Here's the Hey Ya that white ladies did their exercises too...Andre 3000...

Sorry, East Point still has the best rap the world has ever produced (not thumping a southern chest, but yeesh, this is good, sorry, compared to what is produced now)....and it's 20 years old now...

But, here's what I'm listening to now...

As I write new SMS integration systems into my POS / CRM system because I suspect that Google is dropping that support from Google Chat (which I told them not to use, but they did anyhow) and push people onto Google Voice.
