When the entire East coast blacked out 10 years ago the ONLY people that were able to make cell calls were the ones that had Verizon. Everyone I know switched to Verizon after that and not one has switched away. Yes - they overcharge - but like you said - they always seem to have service.
I think that's when my parents switched. I've just followed suit when it was time to take control of my number.

While I don't like paying Verizon's high prices they have the best coverage nationwide. I left Sprint years ago after they were posting minutes from two months ago on my current month's bill and charging me for going over.

That should be enough to sell the movie rights, don't you think?
NBC is already working on a mini-series based on my novel for this Fall. Here's a teaser for what's in store. In this particular scene, Harrison Ford goes on an epic tirade of vulgarities & ethnic slurs most foul, when he realizes not all customers 'Have It Your Way' when ordering at Burger King:

I don't want to think of Han Solo slinging ethnic slurs. That would totally change my view of him and I love the scruffy nerf herder.

He was getting ready for a trip to Peru or something, and needed appropriate clothes. She was a nervous wreck, and when she told my son about it he was quite jealous.
