I just didn't want to post anything about what was going on until I knew something for sure. Figured it probably wouldn't have been too cool to get on here and post somethin' like...
"Hey guys. At the hospital ER with head pain, dizziness, and numbness. Will let y'all know what's goin' on ASAP. If I'm able. Have a Magical day!" ;)
Well, its clear that you're becoming a Vampire for Halloween.
So nothing to worry!

Personal question - not asking for specifics ....

In Canada, all of your procedures/hospital stay would have cost nothing - outside of our outrageous taxes, that is. (As I shared before, ambulance costs $60 - unless you croak; in which case, it's free)

Do you have to foot the bill? Co-pay?
Just wondering.

No worries. I'll answer as best I can, as DWifey used to be in the health insurance industry, so mostly handles all our affairs regarding such.
As far as I know, we are still responsible for the meat wagon. There is an ER copay. As far as the rest, it used to be that the insurance company would cut a check to the hospital/Dr. based on what was a "reasonable and customary" charge. Patient would be responsible for the rest up until you met your deductible. Deductibles could vary from an amount per family member or a total amount for the whole family, with, of course, a cap after a certain amount paid out at 100% by the insurance company beyond the deductible.
Essentially, the house never loses. ;)

@Cesar R M do you know anything about the new iOS for iPad/iPhone?

When I'm typing on Facebook, or sometimes on here, it locks my screen and the keyboard is covering up what I'm typing. Does that make sense? I can't figure out how to get it to stop...I kinda like to see what I'm typing... And it's only started when I updated to the new iOS.

It's also not saving my passwords. Every time I go to ths site or Facebook or photobucket or Amazon (about a million times a day) I suddenly need to re enter my username and password. Before the update, I think the last time I had to put in my username and password was over a year ago. :( do you have any clue how to get it to save this information again? Clicking the 'remember me' or "keep logged in" buttons are flipping useless.

I'm really disappointed with the new iOS...I'm not seeing much improvement. In fact, it's been everything but. I wish Apple would stop fixing what isn't broken!

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Thank you very much for your well wishes. :)
Best answer I seemed to be able to get, prognosis-wise, was "Probably stress".
Which, to be honest, I have been under quite a bit more than usual lately at my job. We're just so swamped.
I was given copies of all the final test results: No Blockages or buildups, no masses/tumors., no bulges/aneurism, no malformations, bleeding or other anomalies.
I'll take "stress". Now I just have to implement productive ways to deal with it, as it's always a part of life to some degree or another, anyway.

And yes, although by now most here know I'm no connoisseur, I was actually kinda' impressed with both breakfast and lunch (sorry no pic of breakfast - my mind just didn't initially go there 'til lunch when I though of us foodies on here). It was a very tasty bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast taco with oatmeal and a fruit bowl.

Anyway, thanks again for the well wishes. :)
I loooooove hospital oatmeal.

Almost as good as the stuff @ Cape May Cafe.

did you have fun with the infamous "donut"? (one of the scanners is donut shaped)

Yes, that was the CT scan. I've had that one before, and it seems to usually only take about 5 minutes, or so, and is a much more open system.
The MRI, on the other hand, I had never had before. You lay flat like for the CT scan, but, they put headphones on you and then snap this cage-like thing over your face, and then slide you into a lighted cylinder. It makes a LOT of noise and, in my particular case took a total of about 45 mins. 'cause they also did a contrast test on the arteries in my head. As I posted earlier it kinda' sounded like a techno concert in there almost the whole time, but, a pretty rhythmic one, 'cause I actually even started to doze off a few times.
Again, I actually thought it was pretty darn cool...! :)

Yuck. Not only do I not like Oatmeal, but whenever I have to go to the hospital (usually for asthma) the food is always horrible. They have to give me the allergy free stuff. I wonder if they think those of us with allergies lack taste buds.
Thankfully the one time I was hospitalized at Hopkins, they had a Subway downstairs...

Oh dear, I hope you're feeling a better when you wake up today. That was scary, and it's so difficult to try and relax when they're performing a battery of tests. Sounds like they are doing everything correctly though, and the medical team always starts with the worst case scenarios, and works their way backwards to lesser medical conditions. I can tell you that if the MRI showed an "all clear" that is major, so take a little comfort in that.

Eventually, they'll sort through the myriad of possibilities, so the waiting time is normal. This happens more often than not, when the medical staff is trying to diagnose symptoms. My hunch is you'll be fine in due course. You absolutely did the right thing by seeking medical attention, and if there is some sort of condition that they do find, you're much better off getting treatment in the early stages.

We all care about you.

Thank you so much! :)
Yes, they started at the top and worked their way back. I could tell as the day progressed they were becoming less and less urgent, and that awareness started to ease my anxiety a bit, as well, even without all the final test results in.
Funny how the exact opposite applies when diagnosing a problem with a vehicle. When the engine won't turn over, you don't automatically conclude it's the starter without first goin' to check if a battery cable connection at the terminal just simply needs to be cleaned...! :)

It's the Seinfeld show of WDWMagic. It's a thread about nothing... yet everything.
Cool...I think?
We had Bob officially declared dead and are all currently living off a ginormous insurance policy that we all took out on him. May he rest in peace! I must be off now to feed caviar to my polo pony. ta-ta!

Glad you're feeling better. The head MRI is so loud!!! I kept tilting my head back so I could see out the tube. Didn't have the cage thing though. Did they give you the dye for the contrast?
