I had a business law question. Instead of emailing the professor, I just emailed my dad. Sometimes having a father who's a lawyer is very nice...

EDIT: And it took him less than five minutes to respond. Professor would have taken hours. Sometimes it's extremely nice when your father is a lawyer...
not to mention teachers sometimes sent you to "read this book" instead of explaining.

hmm he deleted his comment.

And I am now very annoyed at.....
Most of us genuinely felt worried about him and his trip(due of the ebola problem), and he just slaps us back with a "joke".

Annoyed-certainly.

Genuinely felt worried-I still am worried but not about the ebola problem. I just look at it differently, more seriously and not as joke as he stated. I see the potential for this problem for lack of a better word to escalate further and manifest into something dramatically more troubling beyond the posts here. I pray more for some type of divine intervention by those close to the situation.

I agree. Time to step away from the computer - some people should not be posting on the internet. To paraphrase an often used break-up line , "It's not me, it's you."

You have been very tactful and used quite a bit of grace over the months. I had read the post which I found pretty rattling, there is so much in there between the lines that appears to demonstrate how different and more complicated all this is than just lies. I count my blessing that I have healthy adult children and I do not have to cope with these issues. Completely agree this sight is not the place for all this. Your compassion to graciously delete what could otherwise be archived is kind. Kudos.

Oh there have been so many times I've have ran things past my Sis, also an attorney. The flip side is you don't want to have a debate or deep discussion if you have an opposing point of view. There is that drive to WIN when winning or loosing isn't a necessary outcome.

Balancing iPad on the dog to type.

Just curious, but how often do they change their menu?

Every three to four months, sometimes five. Usually four.

I had jimmy johns for lunch today (not going to argue with free lunch over ethics) does that count?

Well, I did get a rather large Christmas bonus last year, and they said the company had a really good year (I had been back full-time for almost 11 mos. by then). And, they were able to take on more work and hire more production people. And, since I'm one of only two full-time designers here (the other is one of the partners), I'll go with that...!!!!! :joyfull: :D :angelic: ;) :)

@donaldtoo

Fantastic! Wanna put in a good word for me? I'm a hard worker, a serious multitasker; I'm able to be in ten places at once while doing ten things at once and I got my resume on hand. Willing to relocate. Proficient in both windows and iOS and know how to effectively run an office. Five years management experience.

Wish I was joking, but I'm not. Hire me. Please.

Have seen pics before. Love the gothic revival architecture. :)

I've posted pics of it before!! I love this building...but I really need to grab some pics of the county jailhouse downtown for you. It'll floor you! H H Richardson, it's beautiful.

I'm being called from the UK tomorrow about a job (in Boston though....bummer) and the lady left her number on the bottom of the email. And it's Greek to me.

One set of 5 number and then another set of 6 numbers.

edit: the first set is the area code but without dialing the 0.

Somehow I have to find a way to say "I want to work for you and then work for you in London" LOL

You are excited to work with an international firm and would love to learn more about the international business. Willing to relocate and expand knowledge of the practice and views of the world. Very excited to be speaking with you today.

The dog is not happy being a table, but if she would get off my lap, the problem would be solved. That said, she's not budging. Dog table, it is then.

This is the view from the interview I had this morning (not impressed with this staffing agency) on the 43rd floor, facing the stadiums and the point/point state park.... But..

See that giant building under construction? That would be the country's first all green certified skyscraper. The giant slope (and note the men on it!) will be one huge solar panel. It's called the PNC TOwer and everything will be natural sunlight, reclaimed water, etc. it's actually going to exceed all LEED certifications when it's completed next year.

40+ floor skyscraper, three years to build in the middle of the very busy business district. Impressive, to say the least. All glass panelled walls, too.

Ha! But time for a history lesson, especially since your daughter is a young women too and likely you are unaware of the history of that not so nice slang term. Vapors is often used as an example in Sociology course text books to demonstrate what women had to put up with attempting to convey medical aliments to male doctors and being ignored and diagnosed as the catch all Vapors, ultimately meaning no treatment warranted.

What male doctors classified under the slang word Vapors had nothing to do with gas and actually is a term that became politically incorrect to use in society in the 20th century as was some other slang words that were banned in a politically correct society in same era, like those slang words used to identify people by race or intellectual capacity. Freud was the one that helped society get over that 200 year+ Western Europe stereo typing of women and actually acknowledging physical conditions. The slang term Vapors was a term used to minimize physical issues of women. Vapors depicted women as weak and unable to cope with minor aliments like the men could.

And that ends this history lesson of the day. :)
