Yep, that was my thought when I saw it. It is twisting of the arm with many of these shows now as there are so many reserved sections for either dessert parties or special events for corporations etc. that it is becoming difficult to see the shows that come free with admission.
And you are right, many people will pay so Disney will keep creating them. My DH and I wrestled with the first Halloween party moons ago. They closed the park completely and then reopened at 7pm. It was $15 each. $60 dollars more for our family. We wrestled with the $15 extra hours band they use to sell too, usually way back then my DH and DS would stay and DD and I would go back to the resort, she was little and just wanted to go to sleep.
At least the extra hours bands were not expensive. I bought those a number of times, and they were well worth the price to hang out at MK, with much lighter crowds and ride all the big attractions with minimal waiting. I felt as though the cost (again, reasonable to begin with) really gave you a perk that had definite value.
